With the CGM you put a shim under the Front End Rear Hinge Pin mount correct to get anti dive correct? That is a great idea on the tires...I know that do that with foams on carpet...cool.

Would you run stiffer springs or swaybars?

Great to get info like this!

a dremel does the job just fine. Just wear a mask (breathing carbon fiber dust is not so good for your lungs).

PS: Sorry, blurry pic...

Thanks Paul. Even blurry, it give me an idea of what I need to do.

Yeah, just put a shim under rear suspension mount in the front, this will also give you more onpower steering. You might want to go a little stiffer with the springs but don't go too stiff

Any tips on setting Droop would be great?

Do u set droop by looking at the bottom of the hub or a arm?

Personally I set rear droop from the bottom of the hub, and front droop from the outside edge of the hub.

Hi friends. Greetings from Malta.

JEFF W. MATT H. We had serious traction roll problems when we first put our cars on the track at the 98 Worlds.

Amazing what people were doing to counter it. We were running Schumacher SSTs at the time.

Basically you need to get as little front grip as possible, and you need to bring the C of G (centre of gravity) as far down as possible and the RC (roll centre) as close to the C of G as possible. Stiff springs and stiff roll bars should help too.

Some guys were even running positive camber on the front wheels.

I wouldn't like to be in that situation again.

On a different tack Masami's and Chris Ts Yokes seemed absolutely dialled last weekend. It augers well for the Worlds.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

What is the effect of having a bigger air-vent hole in the real tyre rims? I noticed some top driving been doing that.

Must the front rims have the same bigger air-vent hole too?? i.e., racing in the summer???

bigger vent holes will keep the tire slightly cooler

If the drive gear and rear shaft are not seated correctly, all the way forward, then the diff will not sit correctly and the cover will bind on the diff gear. Make sure you push that rear shaft all the way forward.

Default and also. . . .

in addition
use a mallet/hammer to taqp the drive gear into the input shaft, to sit it correctly. Also check the shimming, and placement of the SPUR GEAR hub/holder.

Hope all is well. Peace and Happy Racing!
