There's a spot on the TC5 setup sheets for hex spacing that looks like it's for people to shim the wheel away from the axle hexes. How are you supposed to achieve this? Won't this reduce the contact area between the wheels and the hexes? It seems like this would be a good way to increase track without pulling the CVAs farther out of the outdrives.

Rcently had a few DNFs due to the thumbscrews coming off the grub screws on the battery posts and/or the grub screw pulling completely out of the battery post. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an alternate solution?

I'm thinking of alternating 2 packs for safety in this Texas heat and the battery tape solution isn't looking that appealing to me.

battery tape is always the answer, i tried the strap a while back and when i knocked one corner the battery slid out. i believe the building instructions tell you to use threadlock or ca glue to lock the little screw in.

Is the Losi #57 fit the associated shock with no mods and is it considered a better piston?

BlueEagle - here's what I use, they're .75mm thick. I believe Tamiya also makes ones that are .5 and 1mm. No problem with the wheels or hexes.

Also +1 on the use of tape to hold your batteries in. I have thin aluminum bars Shoe-Goed to the bottom of my lipos to align with the chassis cut-outs. Using that plus tape, I've never had a battery move.

Are you talking about the top deck? as long as there is more than 1cm around the edge it should be strong and flex more...
