I plan on racing my new 4.2 next week, but not sure if my esc will be back from warranty. I do have an lrp sxx tc v1 and I was wondering is this esc allowed to use in stock block class? Thanks

I have a question for you guys.

Would a highly sponsored guy replace brand new parts on his 4.2 or is that just crazy even for a guy who is sponsors or is in favor of a certain company?

For example:
Would a Avid guy change his FT 4.2 hexes to avid ones?
Or would a Avid guy change his FT Steering rack to the avid one?

Just thought I would throw that out there...

Whats the point in being sponsored if you're not going to run said companies products

That question is sort of out there. What are you trying to say?

and the front shock towers....

I just happened to have a NIB b4.1 front shock tower, so I took some crappy cell pictures of the new vs old.

New B4.2 on the left, old B4.1 on the right.
Only difference I see visually and dimensionally, is the "pad" where the upper shock mount holes are, is thicker on the B4.2.

B4.2 = .283"
vs
B4.1 = .204"

So basically B4.2 tower is the same as having a 2mm spacer on a B4.1 tower.

Nothing is shaved, or changed for added clearance, the ONLY change I see is the pad being thicker by .079 (2mm) and the pad is thicker on the inside of the tower (shock mount side)

Again, B4.2 on the left, B4.1 on the right.

My kit isn't hear yet. Tower says it has tires included, Amain says it doesn't.... What's the real answer? I am getting more but curious to know what I am getting.

No tires, just rims.

Grabbed a 4.2 today. Just checkin' it out so far. Spent a little time removing the flash from all of the parts and green-sliming the shock o-rings and whatnot. Yeah, no tires, but includes yellow hex wheels.

I went with lots of carbon when I built my 4.1. I'm gonna build this 4.2 bone stock... just to see if I can feel that much of a difference. It's gonna be a fun weekend!

tp://www.teamspeedmerchant.com/shop/accessories.htmlsmr5074 Link O-Rings (4) $1.75
smr5075 O-Rings for 4-40 Ball Studs (10) $2.95

First off let me describe what i saw...when i first built 1 set of AE shocks with the stock parts and instructions noticing that all 3 orings were a mess the bottom one, the top cap one, and def the bleed oil...the inside diameter wasnt the right size for 1.. 2 the matiral of the oring bad... had to be careful by just putting th bleed screw threw it.. then when uts time to tighten it down u have to have it 100% striaght or or it will crush or rideup on one side and not give a full seal..
PLUS THERE ORANGE lol

the speedmerchant ones i posted above are almost exact same size except the internal hole is a little smaller which is a good thing and the out side thickness is just i touch more giveing it a firmer oring an dont tear thats bad...trust me on this guys//

Blue Screw 02-02-2013 01:22 AM

1) remove the hex
2) take out the axle pin
3) push the axle out.
4) remove the inside bearing.
5) put the bearing on the axle and push it all the way on
6) install the c clip
7) line up the c clip with the "D" shape inside the hub adn press the axle through
8) insert the axle pin and the hex

Thanks, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to use that much force.
