+1 and spin true.

I am selling a LRP Flow Competition ready to be mounted just as Cav did for the Reedy Race. I will throw in the shelf too.

I have used thin tire glue for a while, but with the avid rims (I assume) I dont link the thin. The larger bead seems to allow the glue to go under the tire and into the foams. With open cell I am kinda like so what. But the closed cell would be an issue. I was reading the panther site and they suggest gluing the outside bead with the foam insert NON installed yet. letting it dry, then putting the closed cell in. I can see how that might allow you to get a better outside glue adhesion. But i would still have the issue with the inside bead and the thin glue. Since closed cell foams are often reused, i wanted to be careful with this. granted, I am no where near the best tire gluer. I bought a used sc10 last year that had the best tire glue and balancing ever. Perfect glue job and they were balanced to spin perfect, even after months of use.... /envy.

maifield runs that esc with a 7.5, no? so what is with the 9.5 motor rating?

Wild Cherry 02-18-2013 12:22 PM

At the track

Comparing stiffest of rims....

A observation of mind

I recycle my rims...

After using the rim for one cycle ?

It will have quite a bit more flex then when it was new ....

Fair to say the plastic loses stiffest, like inserts ...

another observation

A stiffer rim is more consistent and improves performance on high traction conditions ...

That's fine, you shouldn't with the competition.

Whats the difference between the Comp and WT speedo? Why is it ok to run a 7.5 with one and not the other?

I run a 7.5 with my competition SXX v2 and iv had no problems at all.

Comp is cheaper and has a motor limit of 9.5 i believe. Catered more toward the spec racing crowd, rated current is 200a/phase vs the works 400a/phase. Works Team has a very low motor limit (3.5T) and is more for the open modified classes.

Your SXX v2 has a low motor limit and lrp didnt make a cheaper sxx version...thus why youve never had problems

You are most likely just going to have to get the standard B4 front tower and add a couple spacer up top to space the shock out.

Rc10 Diff Bolt?

I am looking for a b4.2/b44.2/etc. diff bolt that has a long head with a flat for externally adjusting my differential. Similar to K cars.

Anyone know of such a product? Mcmaster/ace/some kinwald super mod?

If it would work w/o modifying the outdrive, game changer, right!?

I would be grateful for any tips you could share.

Thanks
-Tommy
