Interesting...it is a Leur lock tip for a syringe. What do they charge? How big is the tip?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013J6376/ref=biss_dp_t_asn

Edit: looked it up on their site. 10pcs for $5.00 That actually isn't that bad a price. If you order 100pcs on Amazon you're looking at ~$25 which is half as much but you're buying 100. Packs of 25 pcs are about the same cost per tip.

Love the stainless tip cus you can slip it under the tire bead , save glue & no mess ...

how do those things work?

You just stick them on the end of the glue bottle. The Leur tip they use is a tapered standard used in syringes mostly but the size winds up being about perfect for sticking on the end of most 20g CA glue bottles.

Hmm here is some better pricing. 50pcs for $8.49:http://www.cmlsupply.com/dispensing-...tip-black.html
You can get them with bent or curved tips too which may be handy for gluing tires.

hey, i know some people have said that the 1.4 x 3 pistons don't have as much pack as 1.6 pistons. but, is this true for everyone? running 1.6's now. was thinking about trying the 1.4 x3 pistons, but i'm worried that i'll lose some pack. what's the consensus? thanks.

Wild Cherry 07-29-2013 10:48 AM

1.4 x 3 has a bit more pack then the 1.6 x 2 ..

Not a big difference between either , can feel the difference though...

1.6x2 rides more plush & better grip , the 1.4x3 lands better with less slap .

For those who run aka red inserts outside, are you running on high bite tracks or have you found them to work on low bite tracks too? I use red aka when I use slicks but my car seems very loose with aka inserts outdoor compared to open cell inserts while using the same tire.

Its a tuning option for sure. I run on indoor clay and like to have open and closed cell tires ready to go.

On lower traction use a softer insert then the red AKA .

suggest the JConcept blue close cell or even the
standard open cell foam ...

While were talking about tires. Can anybody explain why I have a 1 inch section of my tire completely bald but the rest of the tire has plenty of tread? How does this happen?

On power the tire balloons so that portion will wear out faster.

I run cut AKA foams in almost every tire I have. Makes the tire sit flatter and overall gives the tire more traction. This is good for low traction stuff. For high traction I like full used AKA foams or JC -2 closed cells.
