Tip: Soak the new spurs in a cup of water for 6-8 hours and then dry and run, it will be super-quiet.

Interested to hear why that makes it quieter? Absorbs liquid?

that was covered a while back. something about re hydrating the spurs, because the moisture leaves them after time.

A few guys at the track were telling me this with the AKA wheels too. Compared to the factory wheels the AKA's are slightly wider.....spreading the tire out giving a wider footprint and more traction. Go figure the shop is out of stock on AKA wheels....:(

how much are you cutting of the aka red?

They might have confused them with the Avid wheels, thw Avids are slightly wider, and fit better especially if you run the JC axles. I have heard a few people complain the Aka wheels hex adapters are to shallow.

Changing from the three hole kit caster blocks front 30* caster to the two hole FT 30*.

I was on last lap of the day and clipped another car on the straight and broke my right side caster block, LHS had the two hole ones so putting on now.

Cridd 07-29-2013 09:51 PM

Also Amain, Tony Screw kit or Rcscrewz?

Are the MIP C-CVD'S worth the money, and do the platic retainers stay on or should they be glued?
