Amain (do they have kits or are you piecing it together?), tony's, hexcrewz, or from me (I have a few left). All these are a574 screws, the strongest you can get in rc sizes. As mentioned, stay away from stainless, it's only marginally stronger than 7075 aluminum screws which weigh almost 1/2 as much.

If your interested I have a few screw kits left for $25 shipped.

you 4pks-r shoiuld have sub trims. i do like the manual and use sub trims to make it straight. I never use normal trims, only sub trims. reg trims will mess with your epa.

So that's the difference! I always assumed they were the same thing with finer movement on the subtrim. I guess I'll be reseting some trims in the near future

Ok, I was in the 40s with one car 50s with another. After seeing where you are I must have it correct now.

Thanks

yeah, some radios have more subtrim movement than others. My airtronics takes like left 60 to get it right. It only goes to 100, so if I and off too much with the install of the rack, then I cant get it to center. But if that is the case, my install was probably wrong anyway. The way I understand it is. Sub trims adjust your epa to match the subtrim changes, but the trim shifts left and right, but does not touch the epa, thus messing it up. I have adjusted sub trims and noticed that my epa seems to stay correct, so i never use trims.

I can vouch for Waflet's screw kit. Quality stuff!

yet another esc shelf. This one is interesting, because it has a fan for when you put the esc in the tray and I think it has a "stop bumper" to keep the pack from smashing into the esc/reciever.

For those who are running an aluminum servo horn, which comes closet to the stock holes/design? I'd rather not run the TLR horn

Avid +5mm motor centering kit with topshaft

1 Attachment(s)
New things coming from Avid...

+5mm motor centering kit with aluminum topshaft. This will center the motor for more side to side balance. This will come with +5mm spacer to go between motor plate and gearbox, +5mm longer topshaft that is aluminum and hard coated. Less rotating mass! Kit will also have longer screws to hold it all together. Combined with the Triad and Avid motor plate for a great combo. Blinky racers will really appreciate the reduced rotating mass for quicker acceleration. ETA...next week! $28.00 retail

CRAP! This sucks!
Now I'm going to have to give Avid another $30. Haven't they gotten enough of my money? They keep coming out with great products that actually make a difference, FORCING me to buy them. :ha::lol:

Their products are not for bling but meant to improve. More goodies to come....:sneaky:

Damn I just bought the MIP topshaft a couple weeks ago, maybe I will replace it when I do a rebuild. Hopefully Avid comes out with a CF steering rack, I would like to see some ballcups from them as well. Got to run the Triad today, I am thinking about picking up some red pads as well as an AE Gear Diff, and playing around with those.

Seems like there's more coming out lately for the B4 platform then ever before. It's nice to be able to build up a platform and run it for a while.

Agreed!!! AVID parts are hands down the best i've used to date! The fact that they keep their price points VERY reasonable tells me they have integrity along with quality design/craftsmanship!! I'll take 1 of everything they make! :batman::sneaky:
