Which Durango are you running in the front? I have the white/grey on there now with HB grey in the back (had them laying around). I have the HB white for the front if I need to go a little stiffer.

Thanks, I will add them. Is there a particular series that I should add? Not sure how I would add 3 black springs haha, are they different diameters or something?

you could pick and choose. i'd say include fronts from 3.50-4.5 and rear 2.5-3.5 rates. somewhere in that range.

Thanx, sounds like I'm about right to get started.

I had a great weekend racing both of the Tekno vehicles in our 3rd round of the Iowa Summer Series at 80/35 raceway. Battled all day with A-Main Sponsored driver Scott Rapoport. He took the TQ but it was an awesome race to the finish. It was the closest finish of the day. I was anywhere from 4 sec to 1.5 sec behind him the entire race, untill the last lap. =)

If you could just watch the last lap and tell me what you think.

Track was super slick, and I was having a hard time keeping it pointed forward unless I drove it hard. It still needs some setup work, but it's getting there.

EPIC VId man... SO did you win or did that last bump put you back in second? That was some serious racing nonetheless, I would have had a heart attack.. lol..

See, that what I consider a real off road track!. I love those kind of bumpy looser tracks. The crazy sugared concrete like surfaces or super sticky velcro like clay indoor tracks are boring. That track takes driving and setup skills to master IMO!!!

i pretty much run this suspension setup with some minor tweaks (front shock tower position is 4). i run different diff oils though (currently 12/10/5 for a very high bite, abrasive outdoor track):

I forgot how it goes... white is linear rate, silver is progressive and black is also linear? A lot of options to add to the list and the progressive spring rates are not really the same as a matching linear spring rate.

i don't know anything about that (whether certain series are progressive or linear). i can just say that from the looks of the whites and blacks, they look linear (same coil diameter and space between coils throughout). i have never seen or purchased a silver, so i can't say.

Updated spring chart in my previous post. I added Durango, Xray, Associated, and Serpent...Oh and a shameless plug for myself of course haha.

RC*PHREAK 08-20-2013 06:54 PM

Awesome job. I don't think it's a shameless plug. You put in the work, you should get the credit as I'm sure the chart will be cross posted elsewhere.

That is correct. Durango white's are just stiffer linear rates. Blacks only go up to 3.92lbs and white are 3.98lbs and higher. Silvers are progressive. I run silvers on my Durango e-buggy and truggy. Love 'em. Can't wait to try them on my Tekno.
