That's the reason I ask . I have the ftw diamondback body and I mounted the slash offset jconcepts wheels and they stuck out bad

Thanks, I will add them. Is there a particular series that I should add? Not sure how I would add 3 black springs haha, are they different diameters or something?

very nice! having the length's of the springs on there is very helpful too as some have the right rate but can be too long. That is what I am seeing with some of the AE rear springs.

anyone running castle connectors for there battery connections?

Yeah, the FTW body is a little narrower than the new breed of bodies. Great body, I have one but they are a little old in design and their mold really should be redone to fit the trucks that are taking the width to the limits.

My Mugen was at the limit and it rubbed the FTW but it didn't with the JC hi flow body.

I have the FTW body with SCTE wheels and fitment is fine. The body has not help up very well though...already the front holes are destroyed and cracking all over the place :(

My last Jconcepts body was much more durable.

Yeah, the JC bodies have been the most fq06 proof bodies I've tried. I will try something else and go right back to JC in a few moths when the fender has cracked or the tail lights are beat to death

I feel the exact opposite. My ftw seems more durable than the jconcepts hi-flow i was using before. There's a few cracks in the fender wells of my ftw but it's nothing compared to the whole front of my hi-flow cracking off

Hmm, interesting. My FTW is thin and flexible, seemed like it would bend more than the JC. But, I'm back to using my JC Hi-Flow (which is also beat up but still has good holes) because the FTW broke apart in so many places.

I just bought a set of DE Trinidad +3 SC10 wheels for my Tekno with aluminum hexes. I'm running the Jconcepts Illuzion hi flo body and it doesn't rub. The front BARELY rubs at full suspension compression, but the rear is a good 1-2mm away from rubbing at full compression. I really love the added stability it's given me around fast sweeping turns!

Thanks for the confirmation. I was thinking about trying that, because I was wondering if the hi-flo was wide enough for +offset. I'm sure that extra 6mm of width helps a lot.

No problem! The hi flo body is pretty wide. There is a high speed sweeper at my track that I would normally have to brake and then turn in. With the +3 wheels I can drift around the corner at speed and it will sometimes lift the inside front tire, but still on power. It's pretty awesome. Only downside is there seems to be a little bit more low speed understeer.

+3 wheels won't fit in the box... Just saying
They are Cheater wheels. ;)

Yes I found out the hard way about the tires rubbing the body if the offset is wrong..I just bought a brand new pair of Slash AKA Cityblocks and didn't want them to go unused so I threw em on the 410.. It handles great but once again it's a really wide stance... The only set of SCTE offset tires and wheels I have are the AKA handlebars which unless the blue groove is showing are useless for our track..

those slash wheels will make your axles break...often. I have been using Slash wheels for awile and replace cracked and broken axles all the time. Check the cups for cracks.

You're right, but must Club races/events are cool as long as the wheels tuck under the body.

Yeah I figured, but I don't plan on attending any ROAR races. Only club races.

I'll keep an eye on them!

Thanks! Well off to FB to try and trade or sell my only set of cityblocks.. Hopefully I'll b able to get some correct offset rims and tires before the next race, otherwise ill be using tons of simple green and wd40 with my handlebars lol..

P6 08-21-2013 04:41 PM

The tightness of your wheels will make axles break just as easy if not easier than the wider offset wheels tightend just enough
