Troubleshooting question for you guys

I just finished building my kit, and I cannot get my ride height below 35/36. Yes my body and battery are in, my shock location are 2nd from inner top, outter top on bottom.

I have my shock collars backed all the way out, green springs in the front orange in the rear.

I cannot tighten down the shock ends anymore, and I have no rebound in the shocks.

I'm puzzled, any help?

Thanks

I gave up on trying to run the recommended 25mm ride height. I could set it at that but it looked like a low rider going down the straight because the shocks were so soft. I settled on slightly above level on the arms.

Front droop is 102 stock setting

I'm not sure if this is typical but when I push down on the front shock tower it will not bottom the chassis to my bench.

It hovers about 1-2mm above it

Did you slide the shock cups over the key on the Shock end? They look a little high to me.

Yup, Front is off of the key on the shock ends. Slide them in, so the slot on the shock cups key into the Tang on the Shock ends.

Maybe you didn't screw the ends all the way down or somehow you got longer shafts than your suppost 2

Yeah I see it now.

Yeah, the JC bodies have been the most fq06 proof bodies I've tried. I will try something else and go right back to JC in a few moths when the fender has cracked or the tail lights are beat to death

Looks like I am going to be in the market for a new body. So, what do people suggested that:

1. Durable, must be Durable first and foremost
2. Cutouts prevalent everywhere

Also, what bodies are precut, just not drilled that people recommend?

+1 great info. Love this thread for that!

I had the 2 O rings between the shock end and the shock cups.

Moved the O rings above the shock cup and with the shock collars raised all the way up the same as before..25mm. Is that as low as everyone can get?

Thank you so much

Oh, crap. I was close. haha. Glad you got it.

I use AE RC8 springs. (I relate better with them) so I can get mega low. I run 22 all around indoor highbite. -Wait for those puppies to sag a little bit and you can adjust more.

FTW and Losi High Flow Pre-cut are my choices.

If that's a new kit it has the updated lower shock caps with an addendum that says if you run 4 orings, run 2.
If you run 2, run none.

I don't know if 4 orings (your equivalent) would limit travel that much but maybe it does.
I built mine with 0 orings (like 2).

I find the proline hi flow is thicker than the JC and lasts a little longer but still not pullet proof.
