I have yet to break anything on the truck and I've put it through the ringer.

I know right? I thought I heard they have new hardened steel ones....if so im all over it.

Haven't broken mine and I'm on the first run of cars. Have a spare set just in case though.

Ten weekends at the track and no issues with the axles.

It seems they are/have done something about it. I sent them an e-mail yesterday after I broke my rear stub and here was there reply today:

Robert,

We will send you out replacement axles inside your order were shipping out today. Sorry about the trouble with those axles. The new ones were sending are very tough, so you should not have this problem occur again.

So, hopefully this fixes it! I am very impressed with the fast response and quick turn around on getting i replaced.

What gear is everyone starting with running a rx8/pro4 4600 kv motor, tried the search, but hard to find anything with 500 pages :P running med/large tracks with med straights?

13t here with same setup, current limit at 65.

Basically done with my build, just have to wait on my body and motor/esc combo to come in:

Running:
HW SCT/w 4700kv motor
XP 1015 servo
SMC stick packs
Proline Ions and Suburbs
FTW Body

It's setup per stock instructions so I can't wait to get to the track to start tweaking it. For those that have owned one for awhile, what are the best ways to get to the front and rear diff's...

i am running a 15th with the 4,5 turn tekin sc...about time you got that together.you should have come down to r.a.m. when i was down so i could have hacked you into the tires,lmao!!!!:D

Took mine out to the track today and broke an rear axle on the first lap......damn. Quests I'll me emailing Tekno. Hope this issue gets fixed. Looking forward to racing this truck.

I started out with a 15 pinion, but ended up going to a 16 pinion. Temps actually went down for me.

What aluminum hexes are being used? The Tekno ones are never in stock and I am tired of my stock plastic ones falling off every time I take a wheel off. Those pins are hard to find on concrete!!! lol :cry:

I kinda find it Ironic that People are breaking axles with this truck, and yet Tekno is known for making aftermarket axles/stubs/drive-lines? :eek:

I was thinking about ordering this truck, think I'll wait till the next batch. :nod:

What you need to do is overtighten them once and then they will fit snugly there on out.

I never had any issues with the stock plastic hexes.
