Anyone try 42.5 front oil and 37.5 rear oil yet on a outdoor track? Im going to start with that with the stock springs, then try the green springs for the rear also. The outdoor tracks I race at have some pretty big jumps as well.

I have on one of my trucks and it was a little too stiff but it was quite cold outside that day. Warm weather and it would work well most likely.

Either way I'm LOVING this truck right now! Tekno sure did hit a homerun with this SCT!....... I don't ever foresee the need for a Tekno SCT410 2.0 lol. |
Test Drive
Mine is done! The kit is a work of art! Every piece fits, fastners are all the correct length and top quality. Going to IERC today to wring it out.

I've been wondering about Competition Suspension pistons. I use them on my 8T and they are night and day better than stock. And while I have nothing against the stock pistons in the Tekno, I've been wanting to compare the sizes and such. I know they make 16mm pistons, but would the hole sizes be right..

as a some what rookie in racing i finally got to get out and race my 410. it was amazing! where i use to fear of traction rolling in turns with my scte i now am on the gas and choosing where i want to turn instead of "pokin and hopin"lol. i love this truck it was so fun to drive. home run tekno:nod:

new 4x4?
Hi guys, I am about to pull the trigger and buy the truck.
I will be using the truck on many different tracks large and small high and low bite. Is there anything that needs to be changed from stock? Or is the truck set to go out of the box as far as parts go. Any mods need to be done? Anything to look out for? Build tips? What motors 4 pole or 550? Any other info. Thanks :) |
Run it stock, except for the aluminum hexes. Get those, and aluminum servo arm. Should be good. As far as motors go, the vast majority of us are using 400kv to 4700 kv 4 pole motors. Depends on track size. The 400k motors seems to do best on the small to mid tracks and run very cool, where the 46-4700k motors will be a bit warmer. The mid to big tracks are where the higher kv motors can stretch there legs so to speak. The 550 motors seems to need big tracks to be comfortable in a truck this size.

Another good night out...we had 3 SCT410's on the property...
I TQ'd and won, 2nd truck Q'd 2nd, but broke in the main...rear hinge pin exploded and the third had an esc failure on it's 2nd time on the track otherwise I'm pretty sure it would've been 1-2-3 Tekno :D Really digging the HB grey springs front/rear with 40/35 oils...truck was planted all night and if it wasn't for some traffic issues late track lap record was within reach... |
