Wasn't sure this was worth posting but this was a indoor race I did a couple weekends ago.
Truck was stock except for 100/120 droop and moving the hubs forward 4mm (2 thick shims) Lots of people were have issues with the jumps and you can see my green/white truck with white rims, jumped great. http://youtu.be/Bnq1bx15rVE |
I got my kit yesterday and started the build around 7:30, telling myself I would stop by 11. I ended up calling it a night at 12:30. So far I've only had a couple of minor issues; both of the shims for the front diff case were folded in half in the package and I stripped the head out of a screw. Fortunately the screw wasn't in very far and I had a few extra. My 3000 wt. diff oil was also very messy as it leaked in the package and got the rest of the fluids sticky. Now I'm counting down until I can get home and finish the build, hopefully in time to go racing tomorrow!

I am about half way through my build and I have been taking video along the way. Not a step by step guide by any means and a lot of it covers basic stuff. But, I have been trying to video some of the tricky steps or things that took me a few minutes to figure out. Hopefully they will help others in their build process:

Most of Acer's Ti screws that you will need are 99¢ each. The M4s are more but most use steel for those applications. I have ran all Ti for the bulkheads and motor/c-diff mount without any failures though. Only steel I have is on chassis braces.
Free shipping even for 1 screw. And their adds have hot chicks on them, an important consideration in my buying decisions:lol: They also have carbon sheets if you want to try your hand at making your own air control. Pricey, maybe need a buddy or two to go in on it and make a few out of the sheet. Can't see any performance gain... just bling. |

It will work fine if the BH does not instantly burn into flames......lol

there is a guy at my track using the original BH120 in his scte non lightened version with a castle 4 pole. He has run it that way for 6+ months. So, unless you got one of the "bad" I die instantly esc's it should work. FYI, HK released a 120amp esc that is the same as the BH120 and it think it might come with a warranty. for $35, lol. so if the lt4 dies......
|
Thank I've been running the lt4 in the tekno for about three weeks with an Orion 4.5t 550 2pole flawlessly. I ran it my losi for about 3 months with the same motor. Hope it up to the task of the 4pole.
