Try the 4000kv 4 pole hobbywing motor, runs cool and is very fast. It can be geared up for larger tracks also with no ill effects.

Have you tried it vs. the 4700KV HW? Can you compare the two?

The Tekno SC has the same drive line, motor mount, diffs, etc as the buggy, right? If so has anyone thought about running a 1/8th scale motor setup in the SC? A 1400kv, 5 or 6 cell setup would not weigh a great deal more than a typical 540/550, 2 cell SC setup but would be way more efficient. Any thoughts? Of course it would not work if you race under ROAR rules.

I'll tell you what I'm running, one of these with a 5mm rotor:nod:, 1800kv with a 2500mah 4s pack:eek:

This is where 4x4 SC needs to be. Running huge 2s packs to compensate for high kv amp drawing motors pushing 6lb trucks around doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me. If the class doesn't eventually go to 4s I'd hope it can at least go 3s. Just my opinion:p

I also wanna try their 1200 kv with a little 6s 1400 pack, lol.

I'd think 3S would be perfect, plenty of hardcase lipo options out there for 3S for reasonable prices. Alot of bashers like 3S packs, so you would draw some in with batteries already too.

Just my opinion.

The trouble is most tracks enforce a 2s rule for 4x4SCT .

So anyone else hear from Amain Hobbies that their kit is in or shipped? I pre ordered mine on 11-27-12 and still have not received anything from Amain yet. Just getting excited like everyone else! Can't wait for my January Christmas!

I also pre-ordered on the 27th and have not heard anything.

I doubt A Main has the kits yet, they only sent them to Amain yesterday

I agree 100%, no reason a 6+lb truck can't handle 3s power. I ran my v4 d8 with a 3s pack yesterday, had plenty of power.

The springs and swaybars that come on the truck what kind of track are they best suited for???

I have both, the 4700kv motor is a beast. It`s a lot of motor

Slotmachine 01-12-2013 01:16 PM

My tracking says mine will be here on Thursday, I placed my order on the 13th of Dec.
I hope I can get it built by Friday sometime because there is a big race on Sat. I hate to test a new race car on at a big race but.........If I have to

We should have arms in a couple weeks or so. Not sure on the option parts, but they shouldn't be too far.

I'm guessing the parts to convert a buggy to sct will also be a couple of weeks out? I need body mounts and bumpers mostly.

Thanks
Greg
