The trouble is most tracks enforce a 2s rule for 4x4SCT .
Yepppppppp...... And hopefully they enforce it here so I am not the only one running on 2s! |
Any reports on how the teckno 410 has done in any of the races against the other 4x4 brands yet?.Granted the 410 has just been released to the public, but maybe some of the teckno team drivers can chime in on how its done so far.

What races has it won besides the ones at it's home track (sdrc)?

The guys In cali are fast most pro drivers are west coast! If its winning local races.there it will win races anywhere! The weekly club racing there is filled.with sponsored racers

Yep, people fail to realize this. They also seem to fail to understand that a capable car is a capable car.

I'm just not too fond of all this "it's the best sct ever", when the car has only been racing against itself for the past 1-2 months, with no REAL competition. Sure there have been a few scte's/ sc10 4x4's thrown into a few races with the sct410, but a shallow win is nothing. I'll be a believer when i see it against some of the big names in shortcourse racing, and recongnizable drivers. Just because it went up against a sponsored driver of another brand means nothing. There are mediocre sponsored drivers, and world champs.

How are the shocks for the people that are building their kits? Any photos of how massive they are?

Congrats on the SCT410 build guys. I decided NOT to get back into 4x4 SC now and have my NEW 4600 motor and RX8 for sale:

4wd SC is a tricky class. Most fast sponsored drivers view it as a basher class and don't race it at the club level. As far as I know Phend races his SCTE a lot and Truhe, but the fast Associated guys only run them every so often but Maifield still won nats because he's an awesome driver. IMO Cav is the best off road driver in the world but at that top level if you don't have a decent amount of wheel time it's hard to win. If I was the race team manager I'd make the drivers wheel this thing (like Weasel) and mke a run at nats so thy could secure sales to n00bs like you who care about such things. So what's that all mean? How this truck does on a national and international stage means nothing to me. The design makes sense and its durability is proven. So to buy one is a no-brainer for a guy like me who loves this class and is tired of the deficiencies of the current offerings. |
