The only miss steps I made in the build were done late at night. Glazed right over some details that required me to have to back pedal the following day once my eyes were fully open

Matter of fact, if someone were to search posts by me in this thread and look for the oldest I think I found the most common miss steps... every one of them. Was like getting the red rider BB gun... couldn't wait to play with my new toy. Started at like 7pm and done before lunch.

Long end down..LOL. I know I have assembled well over 10 44's. And I still get crossed eyed looking at the manual. This last kit I put together I put the caster block ball stud on backwards on one side.

Thanks Cherry..... Ya know hes touchable right.... ROTFLMAO!! You guys are funny.

Raz is def. over the top. He looses me fast on suspension set up at least a lap ahead. I think he could do a thesis on it in his sleep.

Ask him what radio to run and he will start at the front bumper and when he gets to the rear bumper he will say futaba...LOL Of course I will stick with my Spectrum....

Ya know what, your the kind of racer that I would plug for a most improved racer of the season at our track. I like it that you try different things. That's how ya do it. It comes together eventually. I went up from 25g Race night to 40g practice night the track was tacky so I couldn't compare. I am really starting to like the weights. When the track was dry (25g) it makes the rear more predictable. This week I am running the 40g all night and see what the clock says.

Why do I get the feeling you're pretty laid back and fun to hang out with on race days...?

Being told ....

The kit ball cups ?
They come from a different supplier & are not the same quality as the Ae cups that come attached together on a tree .

replacement cups on the tree are still being made here in the USA ....

That's what UN4 told me when I got my kit -- he told me to use a fresh tree and compare the two and I'd see they were completely different materials. They were definitely different. I used the ones from the tree and threw the kit ones in the trash.

I had to remove material from my diff cases too. I removed all the flashing and it still rubbed. Perhaps I should have removed it from the gear? My theory was I would rather be in the position of being able to plop a new gear in without grinding after just minimal flashing trim during a club race night after a tranny strip.

Wow! We've had this style ball cup since '97 and I have never seen that trick!
