I am running mine pretty much stock with the only real change is 1.3x8 pistons. I just hate using pistons off a parts tree. They will never be round and seal up like I want them to. I'm a little bit picky lol.
Run the cap out of the stock setup first. Then make the desired changes.

mine came with kyosho 8 x 1.3s and those work well for what I need.

I am going to try some made up 6 x 1 .5s ,kyoshos mind you but they worked really well on my SCT410.

The 4200 packs? They weigh 190g each, so 380g total. I don't know, but feel pretty sure that is under the minimum required by ROAR if that matters to you. Also, it should make 10m, but you won't be able to make many hot laps.

Can anyone tell me the weight of the full blood eb48.2 vs the superlite kit sans electronics. Considering the superlite path for something new but wondering if it can be easily enough done starting with the eb platform saving weight in electronics etc. Or the obvious other route of doing sct to eb sl conversion.

Thanks

They're close in weight unless you also use the lightened chassis (stock on EB48) on the SL conversion, as the chassis is about 66g lighter.

For battery, consider the SMC 4s shorty or the 4s slim pack (2s size) if you want to shave weight or shift it around a bit.

I use two nano 4200 shorties and like it on indoor high bite track. I can get at least 12 minutes with trackstar 1900 motor. I figured wth I run them in all my other cars so tried them and never went back to full packs. I even slotted the battery tray for the Velcro strap so I can move the batteries back.

Sweet, any pics of your batt tray with the packs installed?

A quick club race report. It was a good laid back wed evening event at NorCal Hobbies. This provided a huge and needed relaxation and release for me, and on my birthday! The EB48 was awesome, and so the SCT410 was really quick too. Thanks to the great cars I managed to blow away eBuggy, narrowly missing my own track record fast lap time by just .1 sec, and was the only one all night to do 20 laps. The truck saw me with fast lap times as well, but I rolled it over 2 laps from the end to give up the lead. I caught back up in those 2 laps, but wasn't able to pass him back so had to settle for second. It was a great battle for the whole race though, pushing each other to the same speeds as the 4wd buggies were doing, and soooo much fun! The winner of the SC race just picked up a Tekno kit to join in the eBuggy lite fun, so things should be pretty awesome there to add to our usual 3 way battles for the lead. Thanks Tekno for making it easy to represent a great company because of great products.

congrats!

Got my eb48 ready for battle with the 1700 motor, and the 6 x 1.5 piston setup as found on teknos site with a few modifications to fit the gear I have here (kyosho pistons, hot bodies springs, losi oil)

Looking forward to trying it out. the suspension right now has more action than my previous setup, so that could be a really good thing on the rough track.

on thing I am wondering, how accurate is PT Racing oils compared to kyosho? I could be misinterpreting it, but I have a chart from kyosho saying what there oil correlates to losi oil, but PTs chart is different in some regards.

I only use the PT oils. Really like them. Plus the bottles are large.

heard a rumor that fierce RC solutions will be carrying the PT line.

may have to switch over even though I have so much losi oil lol.
