I also trimmed the old RX housing and servo taped it to the new CF plate.
I installed it in the old RX location but might push it back behind the diff over the winter when I breakdown the car for maintenance over the off season.

just though i'd share for anyone that may be interested in keeping the clean look of the old style radio tray with the new style

Voltron do you still run this setup or change it like you posted?

I bought a new 2.0 and almost have it complete. Waiting on the alum servo horn and debating the new servo/RX setup option parts. The Serpent quality is solid and look forward to testing it.

Running a Speed Passion Blaze 1800 and 2100.

Just posted this in the for sale thread. Since it is all ready to go for a 811be thought I would link it here. If you have a 811be and need battery straps I will throw a set in.

I tried the T8i 1950 in mine on an outdoor/medium sized track and it felt like it was just a bit softer/slower than the full sized T8 1700kv. I think for a small indoor track the motor will be fine.

Thanks, I'll be on either a very small or a small/medium indoor track. Did it feel smoother like they advertise or just slower?

Is there a spring rating or comparison chart between the V1 and newer V2 springs for the 2.0?

I have a box of springs that are 811 V1 springs. I just need to see how they compare in rating to the springs that came with the 2.0 and or newer versions of the springs

edit...found these posts by Chicky and Panda in the nitro 2.0 thread. Are those ratings correct?

The 1900kv is a great motor for a wide variety of track sizes.

I run a t8i in my serpent. I'd never go back to a big motor but I also run a very light setup. Car just works better with the shorty packs small ESC and the little Tekin. I ran the standard 1900 for a year and it was super fast but sometimes it would get me in trouble. I also run on a large outdoor clay track.

Might has the lightened battery tray. And will be running pretty heavy batteries unless I buy some new ones so it won't be a lightweight but both tracks I run on are small.

What kind of run time can you get on shortys? All I have right now are 6500 and 7200 that I can run I'm my sct410.

I sold the chassis to a racer that runs for Castle so he didn't need the motor/speedo. I can't compare to Tekin, but it is very fast and smooth setup. I never tweaked anything to get max speed out of it. It was plenty fast with the default settings. I think it had like 5degrees timing.
