Not really any change there. The front and back of the battery trays are pretty flexible so these just float on top of that.

Here's my b-main race video from the Norcal Champs series round 3.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=581ZYOF_-xA

I am the white car, 4th on the grid and then started out the first few laps in third. Then found myself in first for most of the race, but then with 30 secs to go, and Butler closing in on me, and the announcer jinxing me - "Nardi has a comfortable lead with 35 secs to go", .. then I bobbled twice and "Butler shut the door on me" and I missed out on the final spot to bump to the A-main... at least round 3 is only for divisional placement.

what a tragedy! but the racing was very fun and nothing went wrong with the car. The changes I made to setup were much better than the week prior and I ended up barely beating Frank L by 1 sec!!

I also ran my nitro buggy Thunder Tiger S3, which is a whole new car with a new chassis and all new parts. I didnt run my modded Thunder Tiger pro 21 engine yet, but I will have it setup for the next round.

But I didn't do as well as with my Serpent, and then my steering servo horn got stuck during the C-main after I had an amazing start... going from 10th on the grid, to 2nd! but that only lasted another lap and then BAM, no more steering... why couldnt that happen in a qualifier, not a Main?!?!

Yep that was a nice race. And you did snag a spot in front of me. I just needed another 2 mins I better step it up next time and stop going for the 5 pack all at once

I love driving the e car there's no stress, it either works or it doesn't. I just sent the rx8 backto tekin it was glitching pretty bad last weekend.

The CF battery hold downs are a nice product.

Thanks for the help with them Frank. The production pieces are a little different shape on the ends and I added a hole for the 2mm balance plug in case a person charges batteries in the car.

I'm planning on going to Norcal Hobbies this Sat. and run 1/8 scale nitro and electric. Need more practice and tuning as well.

That Mt. Jelich jump is still kinda tricky, really don't need much throttle at all, which my finger doesn't like to do.

I need to figure out how to adjust the throttle exponential so that the first 75% of the curve only gives me 40% throttle or something like that.. and then the last 20% throttle movement of the trigger gives me the rest.

that way I have A LOT more movement with the finger.... wait, thats what she said

Yes, Jesse can make it exciting on the stand. I've had a few near wins in 4wd SCT that went to hell because I got too nervous. I started wearing ear plugs on the stand for a while.

heres a few action shots of me and butler, he passed me on the last lap then we crashed in the same place at the same time.

he took the inside line, as I was trying to do the same... shoulda went a little wide and not crash at all... blahstards!

.. yeah, I will probably make it out on the 7th too.. but then maybe take the 14th off, so I can prepare for the 4th round at Delta RC on the 21st. Im thinking about getting a canopy and 2nd table for myself. It's been awhile since I have raced there, and there isn't too much for pits, even less than Norcal.

Looks awesome man, I'll take a pair!

Ps, just for flexibility and ease of flipity-flopity, I'd put the balance plug hole on both sides, since the dims should be identical on each side.

Lemme know the ETA! Thanks man!

They are on both sides cause the right side strap is just the left flipped over. Or are you talking on the other end of the strap?

The strap only fits in 1 way. I can't see anyone installing batts so the plugs are at the rear??
