Thanks buddy. I can do a production run of them if you guys like. I actually have an R/C side to my company. I have a machine shop/sheetmetal fab shop and have BMI Racing that is part of my company. I have a 1/12th and 1/10th scale pan car that i make. Check it out at BMI Racing.com. I started off making chassis conversions for pan cars and touring cars and shortly after decided to just design and manufacture my own line up. Now that i am running the serpent car, i figured i would pimp it out a little. I will keep you guys posted on things i want to try and if you want, i can run off a few sets for you guys while im at it.

If anyone would like the washers, hit me up in a PM. I ran off about a dozen of them so i do have some now if you would like them. If i run out, i can always make more.

Do like!! Next, how about some rear wing mount post supports?? orrrrr, better yet, rear tower brace, similar to the M2C racing one for the front?

That's so awesome.. You're the man!!! If you need any 2D/3D CAD or CAM drawings, models, or data.. I'm your man

Jason, I honestly didn't figure it would be very long until you had stuff but really??? Before you even ran the car? LOL guys, this stuff is and will be top notch stuff. I ran a good bit of BMI stuff back in the onroad days. VERY good quality and there will be zero issue. Thanks for choosing this car Jason.

Thanks,
DC

Hey thanks guys. I will look into making some trick stuff for the car. I will just have to check that im not stepping on toes before making them. A good friend of mine works for Serpent and i dont want to interfere with any of there plans nor compete with them on aftermarket parts. I will let you guys know what i can do. Thanks again for the kind words.

How tough is this buggy compared to say a Losi or Xray?

I saw this run a few weeks ago at our MO Pro Race and it looked pretty sick out there.

That was mine or ricks probably. My car is Yellow and Blue.

In three seasons of running the nitro car I haven't broken any parts except for a front tower. Ran 2 seasons on the same drive cups and drive pins, diff gears, etc.

I did break a front bearing on the crown side and that cause it to slip and round off the teeth. Still worked, but I replaced it.

The arms sag a little after running for about a month so I have replaced those as needed but none broke. Went through a few sets of bearings, but that is normal and I am picky about my bearings. Once they get slightly gritty they get replaced.

I have been testing these hold downs for about a month and I like them. They are defiantly up to the task, look cool on the bench and easy in and out with the batts. Ill snap a pic later. Nice job

Default I gotz big nards, but Butler shut the door on me!

who makes those battery hold downs? I would definitely pick up a set of those.

Here's my b-main race video from the Norcal Champs series round 3.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=581ZYOF_-xA

I am the white car, 4th on the grid and then started out the first few laps in third. Then found myself in first for most of the race, but then with 30 secs to go, and Butler closing in on me, and the announcer jinxing me - "Nardi has a comfortable lead with 35 secs to go", .. then I bobbled twice and "Butler shut the door on me" and I missed out on the final spot to bump to the A-main... at least round 3 is only for divisional placement.

what a tragedy! but the racing was very fun and nothing went wrong with the car. The changes I made to setup were much better than the week prior and I ended up barely beating Frank L by 1 sec!!

I also ran my nitro buggy Thunder Tiger S3, which is a whole new car with a new chassis and all new parts. I didnt run my modded Thunder Tiger pro 21 engine yet, but I will have it setup for the next round.

But I didn't do as well as with my Serpent, and then my steering servo horn got stuck during the C-main after I had an amazing start... going from 10th on the grid, to 2nd! but that only lasted another lap and then BAM, no more steering... why couldnt that happen in a qualifier, not a Main?!?!

I am making them. $30 a set shipped. If you have some friends you race with I can do a few sets for a little less to save on shipping etc.

Makes getting the batteries out much easier. and you don't have to take the rear clips off, just take the fronts off and rotate the straps toward the rear out of the way.

I haven't done it yet and may not, but was thinking about cutting the hinges down. I probably wont though, the battery boxes are pricey.

^ sweet, yah no doubt im tired of lifting and closing the stock hold downs... but do they actually add any needed rigidity?
