My Losi SCTE kit came with a real nice shock bottom wrench for holding the shock in place while wrenching and not scratching the schlock.

Anyone know of one for these 811 stocks?
I've never had a problem just holding the shock in my hand and twisting the lid off with a hex driver. Just give the body the gi joe kung fu grip.

I don't think many have used that plate, I would say if you had it probably a 4 down insert which should be 3 degrees. Not sure on that, maybe 3.5. It also depends on which rear bracket you have, the stock will be less anti squat and the Low Roll will be more AS.

Just found the minit76 post (#1300) where's a list of insert positions for rear toe and anti-squat.
Thanks!

Its not the lid I'm having a hard time with, its the bottom black piece. I'll try some channel locks with a towel.

hi, im a new cobra pilot looking for more off power steering from the front of the car.
it finishes the corner great .
but doesn't turn in as hard as i would like.
im racing on wet to drying high bite indoor clay/soil mix.
i have tried all the tires the leading racers use .
with the same results.
if i have to get steering from the rear of the car .
i will .(but would prefer not to ).

thanks for any help/advice.
What's your current setup, stock? If so then you can try 1st by going down in spring rate up front . If you'd like even more then get a 2.3 sway bar for the front also, you'll have plenty of off power steering after mid corner then.

im running porkchops setup from page 89.
8 hole conical pistons.
i went to 40wt front , 30wt rear.
blue and yellow springs .
have not tried the 2.8 bar yet .
i took a little bit of droop out of the front
to help change rotation in the twistys

also , has anyone tried running this car light?
i have found some 3800mah / 50c lipo's
that weigh 208 grams.
compared to my 5600mah packs.
that weigh 313 grams

longer rear hubs
up on the rear link on the tower
2 up front kick up 2 down in the back

Along with what others have suggested... drop the front diff fluid to 3k, 30wt front shock oil (8 hole conical pistons), stock front springs which is softer than the blue.

I shoe goo-ed mine to the back of the servo.

I started off yesterday morning real bad. Turns out one my bottom shock pieces was a factory defect is why it would not go on. I had to force it with vice grips and thin crescent wrench only for it to crack in half. Like it had bad threads inside. The other 3 went on hand tight just fine. Not a good start to my day. Hopefully it will hold up for practice tomorrow, had to express mail more to me.
The good news is after taking a day off work the car is almost finished and I'll be on the track later today

Man this car is tough to set the gear mesh, but I think I got it figured out.

Chops how many pages back did you post a setup?
I set mine up for Frank L Nitro Challenge setup, hopefully it works for me. I'll post some pics in a day or two.

Can't wait to get this bad boy on the track
