Default Vid on large 1/8th track

Marcus, it was me a few pages back asking about footage of your rig on a "true" 1/8th scale style layout as I want to see the pistons going to work on large features. Ive watched all the vids that you've posted to date but all the tracks "seem" to be relatively flat with very few if any large features. Do you have any footage showing your setup being really taxed by a big supercross style track? Here is my layout:

www.capefearraceway.com

Some other that come to mind would be:
- Nor Cal Hoibbies
- Revelation
- The Nitro Pit

Thanks Marcus!

The rear diffs will not stop wobbling! I double shimmed and added 5mm of up travel limiters to no avail.

I just finished building my a brand new kit yesterday, I noticed the wobbly out drives in the rear also. I haven't ran it yet, i'm planning on taking it apart again today to try and figure out why.

Also my thrust spacer wouldn't fit over the top shaft , one side of the spacer was tighter than the other.

Same with mine, I just drilled it a tiny bit and it fit.

But works fine with my 1410/1415. So the Sensor deal on my MMP must be bad? That really blows.

~Tried older firmware
~Tried two sensor wires
~Tried Sensor only
~The MMP won't even jingle it's little arming tune, but the lights arm.
All I have to add to that is when I had a similar problem with the novak sc kit, the guy there told me to run the sensor test which was fine, so he said it was a "phase" issue with the esc. Had no clue what that meant, but amain swapped it out for the mmp/pro4 combo for me so I never found out for sure.

It turned out to be a bad sensor port, and castle warrantied it for me. still sold it for an rx8 though, which im still running now
Yea, the rx8 is $80 more than the mmp, but then add $20 for the BEC considering you want to run a good servo, then another $20 or so in shipping for a warrenty fix, and your looking at $40 extra for an ESC that handle anything a 1/10 scale 4x4 can throw at it.

I'm going to try to get out to the BMX track again today or tomorrow, I'll see if anyone else is there to shoot a quick video. We're talking 15ft high jumps 10-15ft long.

I've got the pistons and center diff.

Default Slipper Setting

I'm curious how tight People have the slipper set. I realize this setting is very specific to each truck and track conditions. Also, I know it is something that can be tested on a high grip surface. Regardless, I was wondering how much of the screw is showing on your setup. I have the clutch basket and garodiscs and the stock RTR brushless motor. I have about .5 mm of the screw showing.

Start with the nut flush to the end of the top shaft. Adjust from there. Remember that you want some slip otherwise you'll be going through idler gears like yesterday's undies!
