I'm glad that you haven't had issues, but next time you want to call me a moron you can go fuck yourself. |

I just put in my new RX8 and a tekin redline sc4x . I put a 12 pinion on do you think its to small for that motor ? should it be a 14 to get more speed or bump up my power to like 70 or 75% ? Be cause it is not even close to my brothers 4600k 4 pole tekin . We both have the same esc settings on both RX8's . Would like to think this motor should be plenty.

That being said, I was running a 16/62 gearing on the sc4x 5.5T (4000kv) and was keeping up with a losi running the pro4 (also 4000kv) down the straights, Where he had me was in explosive power. Between me still having minor slipper issues and diff oil that was too light for the track, and him having the 4-pole, he had WAY more accelleration. I've read several places that the 4.5T is generally a 12-13/62 for gearing...the 5.5T is a 14-16/62...generally speaking. I'd have to question why you have your "power" scaled back below 70% anyway?!? Are you talking about current limiting on your ESC? I've run mine as low as 80%, never below 70....and the only reason I ran it there was to try to help from nuking my slipper pads. |

I agree, I was running a Mamba Max Pro with a 4 pole 3800 kv until yesterday.
Great product and affordable. I only went Tekin cause I got a serious deal. |
A little help guys, need some rx8 settings. Running a sc4x 5.5, 15/62 gearing in my sc10, overdriven with mtk clutch basket, on a high bite medium size track. Thanks!

Does anyone have those Ackerman bars in yet? I really need them.
once i get my belt slip problem licked I'm gonna be so happy lol. then i can just focus on driving. I run a Tekin Pro 4 and have it set at TP1 for the throttle curve, no timing and current limiter at around 60%. guess it depends how grippy a surface you run. As long as you have your hot wire and laptop with you, you can take a couple laps and try it out and change to what works best. |
