I haven't had any belt trouble or skipping since I've had this kit & it's a first generation kit. I run the belt as loose as I can before it hasa chance to skip. I used to run TC super competitively & thats how I would run my belts, so far for me it's worked fine for this off road TC :sneaky:.

Yes, in point of fact they did refer to the Non-MTK version, which IMO is ripping the man off. Keep in mind, I just ordered one from the him so I do advocate the product.:)

Chris gave the impression that it was some form of "operator error" i.e. not having the slipper locked down, which I assure you was not the case.


Although everyone's input into resolving the multitude of issues has been instrumental in improving this vehicle, I feel we're doing the work they should have or should be doing to make it a superior product. Product reliability and accountability matters and they should know that.:flaming:

I'm not sure how refusing to replace parts and suggesting a third party manufacturer fix their issue is "helping" but I understand feeling confused. :weird:

I'm going to try this setup I was suggested then go back to bladders if it's not to my liking. Definitely a hard choice between the two depending on the situation.

You guys gotta try the STRC shock collars...I'm not sponsored by them but they are SO much better than the stock collars that turn so loosely. Try checking the stock collars after a run. I've had mine loosen up durings runs, thats not gonna happen now for sure!

Also...try slamming the front end and giving the rear more ride height than you normally would.

You might want to try a different spring on each shock...the differing tension on each corner will offset each shocks fluidic motion therefore re-enacting the xx-4 worlds performance on the track in Finland. :deathstar I'm just kidding...wait a minute...your running a sc10 4x4...not a xx-4...but they're kinda the same thing so it might work :sneaky:...again don't listen to me!

I'm running 35 front, 30 rear also. I noticed when i went from bladders to emulsion, it gave the truck a lower ride height then the bladder shocks had. No other changes were made, and the ride height was about 2 mm lower. Maybe it's nothing more than raising your ride height up a little bit??? That's all I did, and I have not gone back to bladders since. I think it gave the truck a more softer, more responsive feel, which is what I was after.

I'm not quite sure what my ride height is...(i don't have a measurement device:blush:) But, I can tell you my shock collars in the front are all the way up, and the backs are only down about 3-4 mm. I did have to limit all four shocks by 4 mm for up travel since I removed the boots, but other than that, it's been awesome.

I agree with the response and all that jazz. The problem is at a certain point they give out entirely. The beautiful handling and response I get is 'worth' the reason I asked for any advice. It's just that when I hit that point on these shocks, they say "nope. Not happening" and give out. Then return to being responsive in corners and standard track gnarls. These are canyons as far as a 10th scale is concerned. I do not regret switching to emulsion by any means other than that heart clenching crack on the top outer edge of our track.

I really appreciate the input. I set up with a suggestion from T-Eagle. I'll be out there testing all day Sunday and return with my results. It's gonna rain Saturday! So the Track will be perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect for Sunday. :D
