For those looking to cut off the fan shroud on the rx8, at the very least leave each end mostly intact as the shroud is what captures the circuit boards in the case. For whoever posted pics of their shroudless rx8, throw another zip tie on at the other end or you could have some fatigue wear show up from it bouncing around. Cutting off the shroud voids any warranty you may have left, but if you are already past the 90 day mark have at it.

ran mine on the track this week there was a clicking noise under hard acceleration. i found the clicker was loose but that wasn't it so i checked the rear diff, there was very little lube in it so i corrected that. i also took out the 550 4000kv tenshock motor and put in a castle 4 pole 3800 540 motor as it felt overpowered. it was better but the noise came back. the belt tension feels good, any ideas? i have the basket set-up in the truck and other than the noise it runs fine......thanks

Cool, thanks for another option! Are you running saddle packs with your esc on the battery side & does it fit? Thanks!

stick pack, but it will fit underneath the belt without a problem.

The Greek God of Racing Chaos is reveiled: Raceaflais (Race-A-Flay-us)!

Greek god of Racing Chaos. You know how in school you learn that the Greeks believed that there were gods like Zeus, Thor, etc, that watched over human beings and manipulated some of the scenarios of their lives. I am convinced it is true, and there is a Greek god called Raceaflais (Race-a-Flayus), that manipulates my life and Wayne's life and causes events to happen to see how much last minute flailing around it can make us do right before a track event. No matter what we do, no matter how much we plan in advance, Raceaflais rears its ugly head, and we are running around like puppets on a string, with Raceaflais sitting in the heavens laughing at us running around with our heads cut off, trying to get ready for a race. I'm sure that any of you who take your car to the race track have met with Raceaflais!

I got my sc10 4x4 yesterday, It was so much fun. Today Im working on getting a better setup under it. Has anyone tried to run different tooth pulley to speed up or slow down the front diff? Just wondering what it does to the handling.
