Good, glad you got it figured out. I was pretty sure it was the servo. All you need is a good metal servo. I have the ace 1313, 1015, Spektrum s6040, Jr9100s and Orion Vds-1007. I love everyone and have never had an issue with any of them. If I chose a favorite, I would say it is the Orion.

I will go out on a Limb and try the Tekin 5.5 (stock rotor) and ,my Tekin RS (not the pro) esc, and see how things go. Any suggestions on gearing 32p? Here is the track size

Hmmm, after I put mine back together, (before I realized I was missing that bottom cap) I lost all the shock oil and had to run the main with spring only. Anyhow, nobody has the parts yet, any suggestions for other shocks? I think I saw someone mention some Losi 1/8th scale shocks, but can't find that post. Looking for something comparable or better since I can't get parts for the stock ones.

I'm in the middle of trial fitting the losi 8ight shocks on mine. The fronts are the same lengths but need spaced out about 1-2mm on the tower, other than that they fit fine. The losi rear will longer than stock so I'll limit them a bit. Losi silver springs front and rear, from what I remember, should be the same as the AE blue's (4.3F, 2.8R) that come with the kit.

So true lol...
And TW your truck looks good, you are going to get flamed by the hard cores for adding 1/8th scale shocks. But honestly I think it's a prolly the only upgrade this truck need. The stock shocks suck IMO. I thought about doing the same since I have a set laying around. |
I think the servo saver is extremely tight and maybe not working for me rather against me...Can I lossen up the servo savor from where it stands?? __________________ At least 2 guys at our track have cut one coil off the spring and are happy w/ that fix. Note: One racer at our track had a pretty hard front end smack and broke the top half servo saver arm. To me that is just more evidence that it's too damn tight. |
the thicker the diff fluid in the front the less the 'posi' effect?
I have a tube of 10k that I found in my box. gonna go pick up 3k for the rear at my lhs. i should have mine together later today. (god willing) there's a race tonight but i'm not sure if I'd want to run it yet, need to get it dialed and really wanna get swaybars. |

I didn't have a problem with the kit shocks, I just have a set of 8ight shocks and was curious if they would fit:D

Not the way I look at it, the thicker the fluid the stiffer the diff action, the more "posi" effect, in my world.

All you have to do is line up the servo saver post with the servo saver bottom(the indent for the bottom nut end). bring it out to the garage , put the bottom post end to the concrete, and push dowm hard on the servo saver bottom, or top if that is on. Once the post is all the way inserted into the bottom piece, its a piece of cake.
