Hi, long time reader, first time writer  So I figure I'd ask some people that have the same vehicle as I do... Where do you all suggest I vent the body to avoid the dreaded "parachute" effect. Thanks for the help!

Im running 7k front and 5k in the rear and works great, it helped alot with the turning, and what I mean by turning is turning really sharp which im not used to at all

Here is my SC10 4x4 during it's first race of RC Pro Ontario at Average Joe's on May 22, 2011.

This was my first weekend driving the truck and this was my first 4x4 RC vehicle ever driven.

I made the A Main out of 25 truck (Qualified 10th) Finished 9th in the A Main. I'm sure I will do better at the next round once I have some practice under my belt.

Red springs are just barely softer than the stockers. Great for my rough/bumpy local track.

How do they compare to the stock shocks. I'm guessing much better control over bumpy sections & jumps.

Shocks...

Can you help me understand what it is you are finding so wrong with the stock shocks? I have build mine without bladders and removed the boots and I am very happy with the performance. I am always open to making changes, but not sure I understand what the push to move away from the stock shocks is at this point.

Thanks

Their shocks are broken and they won't have parts for a while. Some of them didn't lock tight the shock pistion screw and it backed off and wrecket their shocks so that they can't use them right now.

Some others, didn't like the stock shocks and wanted to try something else out!

Frontier what body are you running? It's not the stock one right?

Has anyone found other springs that fit on the stock shocks?

Pinion change a breeze

1 Attachment(s)
2 second mod makes pinion change simple. No special tools needed.

JEFFs SC10 05-27-2011 01:37 PM

ok so I wussed out and playing it safe. I went with 3k in front and back.

there's practice tonight at a local track. gotta get this thing done son!

i think you would have been safer with thicker front fluid, 10k will make it more controllable entering the turns. i"m currently running 20k in the front and have no plans of going any lighter.

truck driver 05-27-2011 02:09 PM

a good starting set-up for no swaybars
