I had to run a BEC with my MMP and Savox. The MMP didn't have enough juice. I tried a cap and it smoothed things out, but it wasn't smooth enough.

Exclamation Help Needed

I have a SpeedPassion V2.0 5.5R motor with 5mm shaft and I need to know if this motor is a 540 or 550. The motor had a product insert and had it as 540L motor which I have no clue what the L stands for. I've been away from electric RCs for the past 2-3 years and been doing nitro during that time, so I have no clue of the recent advancements of BL motors nowadays.

If I understand correctly, AE suggests to use 32P spur/pinion gears for 550 motors and 48P for 540. My problem is that I already purchased a 13T pinion for my kit and now I'm not sure if the motor I have is a 550 or 540. If my motor is in fact a 540, do I have to buy 48P pinion gear that can fit a 5mm shaft or can I still use the 32P spur/pinion gear set-up?

Thanks in advance for the help and pardon me for asking silly questions.

I personally have not seen a 540 can with a 5mm shaft. However I will say that if the motors torque requires a 5mm shaft than its a safe bet you need 32 pitch gears. The 550 can motors have 5mm shafts.

Tekins Pro4 are 540 cans and have 5mm shafts, as well as the newer versions of castles 1410 540 motors will come with 5mm shafts as well...........

32p, I don't think there are any pinions (if so they are hard to find or I haven't seen any) in order to run a 5mm pinion with a 48p spur..........Now on the older castle versions that have the 3mm rotors you can run pinions without the adaptor to run a 32p spur...........

I just rebuilt the front end of my truck and boy are the front arms sagging like the rears did. RPM will have the new arms out next week for the truck. I will get some of those.
I think it has been talked about before in here , My rear transmission shaft has developed a good bit of play, I think it may be from before I got the clutch basket and the slipper was slipping and heated up the shaft which will start to melt the case if it gets bad enough I guess. I guess the question will be who is going to make an aluminum case for the truck?

I'd prefer a slipper that doesn't melt the rest of the truck in the first place...

What about the o-rings (or original may be x-rings?) are they leaking or binding?

Default Stick pack vs saddle pack

I have read through a bunch of stuff on this thread and i am just trying to decide if going to saddle packs is worth it. Could someone with experience with both maybe list all the pros and cons of each. Thanks

Rick Howart posted he flipped the steering rack around to change the ackerman in order to make the truck easier to drive, but had to grind the s### out of it to make it work.

Has anyone tried it yet?

I talked to him about it. and the very next day i saw the truck at the showdown. it had a custom carbon piece that was straight instead of the stock one flipped... got one in the works hope to soon see. I Also pinned my front drive so the truck is totally different. the reason we are not seeing these trucks in every race in the world is because they (AE) are still obviously testing.
