Thank you agian Cain for the pro4. This thing flies with the 4600kv pro4 geared 14/60, and has so much torque its crazy. Cant wait to actually try it around a track instead of just running it up and down the street.

If I were you ? Stick with the bladder's ...

Try the emulsion though , your grip will improve in comparison ...

Why do the emulsion increase grip over bladder? I prefer open bladder myself.

Hope it works out for you looking back I would of ran a 2 pole in this truck I don't think it needs the power like the heavy 4x4 , no matter what I did I fought to keep the wheels under me.

I think a combo of tuning on the ESC as well as that rear toe in block setting of 3.5 degrees that M2C can go a long way with the 4 pole motors.

For me on the very loose stuff I ran on, I found with the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro ESCs I was running limiting of about DRRS 7 . Max no limiting is 9.

I did have the tow block set to that and my rx8 current limit was 35. I run on a loose 1/8 outdoor track and still never could keep it planted on acceleration.

yeah, strange. were you using VTS or center diff as well?

Part of what I was seeing could have been how much softer the SP GT2.0 Pros hit powerwise in comparison to the Tekin as well.

Hey guys....I just picked up a brand new truck on CL...So i need a motor and ESC for it...any suggestions? I usually run 1/8 and just bash...There is a local who has a track at his farm, so i think i am going to start going...I have no idea how to tune or any of that stuff so it should be interesting...I am not looking to spend a ton, yet....but want to have some decent power and torque

I would suggest the Tekin Pro4 4000Kv motor as a good motor to start with. It will give you great torque and be reasonable on temps. With it being 540 sized, you get some weight savings on the rear.

For ESCs, I have had great luck with the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pros. great ESCs, can fit under the belt tunnel too with no mods. Make great combo's with the Tekin Pro4 motors.

the Tekin Rx8 is a beast in 4x4 SCT as well.

For the truck, make sure you have the 0.5mm shims. Call AE and they will send you some.

Tekno also makes a set, heck we used them on our SCT410s from what I recall to give it +1 width with the Losi rims till they came out with the new hex.

Nothing wrong with the AE ones, they work great.
