What is the size in mm, is your thrust spacer? if u don't mind measuring for me. The measurement of just the part that spaces, the part that fits into the slot, i believe won't matter.?.
What size washer(s) did u use?? And, How many? I will run mine Monday, before I know for sure if I need it. So, if it's slipping too much I will need it?? I would like to just know the measurements the thrust spacer is suppose to be so i can know if I need washers or not. But, basically i need to know how thick i need to make the thrust spacer/washers?? Fast, wrote 2.90mm, so i guess that is how thick it's suppose to be.?. THX |
I use them on my FT SC10 2WD...work great.. ( post 3390)

See Ultimate RC video on the Novak 550 fitting instructions. Main points -install the motor before you put all the chassis pieces (and the rear transmission to the rear chassis plate) together. -may need to dremel out part of the rear chassis. Good luck... :tire::tire::tire::tire: |
Itll fit, a guy running a.similar truck didnt like it, said it lacked top end speed.but the torque was there. Maybe his gearing was wrong.

Is anyone running that novak hi torque motor?

anyone had a problem with the belt coming off the front pulley under a short drive, With some hard breaking and turning.
once i set my tensioners (front and rear) to max tension, it seems to have stopped the problem. Although im unsure if it is too tight. if i take the motor off the pinion, it rolls nice and smooth for a few feet after a short push. the truck runs nice now, although it doesn't seem too tight, i just think that with the tensioners set to full tension, it seems wrong to have this. also i run a tenshock 5200kv 4 pole motor with a sc8 speedy from hobbywing. thanks guys. mine did this, was playing around with my brake settings turned up too high, did a front flip on the straight under brake power, then massive drag. Belt half jumped off the gear, so tension was too high as it was on the ridge. Readjusted it and am still running the same belt for now, but I have a spare in the box. Ken |

I have been running their 4.5 turn large rotor motor for the 4x4SC trucks, its ok. Feels like it has lag though, already did the hi torque slipper pads, and shimmed the spring, picked up the Tekin version to try this week, I'll compare the two on Monday probably.
Ken I think the Tekin 4 pole sensor 540 will be the only can I might replace my Castle with. |

Just won another local club race again today. Still no issues with my truck. It handles great and is so damn durable. I love this thing. I really need some sort of overshield for the chassis though. The fine dirt that gets slung into my chassis is eating up MMP fans left and right. It's gotten to the point where I have to remove the fan and take it apart to clean it and oil it after each heat/main. I see a 55degree difference when the fan is working compared to when it is not. Fan working: come off track at 115degrees. Fan not working: come off track at 170degrees. This is after a 5min heat or main. |

temps are great. running a 11t pinion with the stock spur, 32 pitch, getting roughly 60 degrees celcius. with a 13 roughly 90 degrees celcius.
ill let you do the math. |
You guys racing on high traction surfaces. How big of a difference did you see when you installed a sway bar set.

What a trip!
Raced yesterday until we got rained out. RX8 and SC4X 5.5, a $59 Hobby People hard case lipo. I practiced for 21 minutes on same battery. Came off at 145 Charged battery, it took 5000 mah, then another 270 for 5270 Mah total!! Great packs, wow. |
I have all 4 of my diff outdrives are wobbling like a bad bearing. tore the entire truck apart and all the bearings are good. found the diff cases to be egg shaped at the holes. anybody else have this problem??
