My buddies running a a rs with the 550 4.5 and he gets close to double my run time, 25 min I'd say. Truck has no binding and motor is coming off at 155~

23 minutes from a Venom 5000 30c 2s pack, 15/93 gearing. Going up to 16t.

ThunderbirdJunkie's was all practice at the track going balls-out.

First belt casualty...

http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/z...1000000560.jpg

Was replaced with a new belt and increased the tension and it happened again in the main. Both times I hit the brakes coming into a corner and the car locked up. Just taking off the front pulley cover provided the image above.

Check the back. Same thing happened to me and then culprit was thaT I didn't assemble the back tranny correctly. That's why I had to move the pinion all the way to the tip of the shaft. Once assembled correctly I had no more issues, and the pinion is now seated farther in the motor shaft

This problem didn't manifest itself immediately, but after 10-15 runs or so

Thanks for the heads up. I had about 35 packs through the car so I was doing some maintenance. It happened after disassembling the slipper to sand the pads, so I'll double check there.

My first time out with the truck without any practice I took the TQ and Win. I made some swaybars the night before the race an the truck felt awesome. This thing is going to be dangerous once I get some time on it. After the 8 minute A-Main I used 3000mah (Integy 5000mah 35c) (Tekin RX8 / Tekin 4.5 550)

So I'm running 5000wt diff oil in front and rear. I really like the way the truck drives. Problem is, this is my first experience with any kind of 4wd and have nothing to compare it to.

So my question is, does running 30000wt in front diff make that much of a difference in the way the truck performs? Is it worth the time it would take to change it?

Odin,
He is giving you an option of where to purchase the wheels at. He has also givin numerous setup and build advice on this thread. I don't think it's PATHETIC at all. The only thing that i see thats PATHETIC is that you took the time to actually post that PATHETIC post. Keep the thread on topic.

The guy's gone out of his way to help the owners through figuring out how to set up this truck, come up with solutions that AE has not provided us (IE shock o-rings and WHEELS)...yeah, real pathetic of him.

ThunderbirdJunkie has run DE wheels almost exclusively for the past 7 months, and that's not going to change, aside from the almost part:D

JEFFs SC10 06-01-2011 09:23 AM

lockmouth how did you make the swaybars?
