I'm real curious about BK's servo mounts from a few pages back. I like the idea very much, and the front end comes apart nicely without the servo on the top plate. 2wd mounts only kinda work, they need to be spaced up 4-5mm for the servo to clear the X on the chassis. I have an idea for making some mounts, we'll see what I come up with.

16mm shocks for sale, if anyone's interested. They worked well on the truck, but I just think that since I drive at an indoor track 99.9% of the time, I'm not seeing as much of a benefit from them. When my track had a whoops section, the 4x4 with the 16mm BB's killed it...but there usually isn't a whoops section. I think they'd rock an outdoor/rough track.

If you plan to run an inner tray or the outerwears filter, I personally could see you running without the tunnel assuming you are not fouling the gears with dirt. The main thing you get from the tunnel in my opinion assuming the chassis is sufficiently braced (exotek chassis or the chassis brace) is dirt protection for the belt.

heck, I have wondered if you could save a bit of weight with a lexan cover of sort.

If you are using 4oz + ballast the 16mm do help ..
Feel the 13mm outperform the 16mm if you use little to no ballast however ...
If you are using the Exotech chassis the 16mm shocks will perform better dealing with its extra 6 oz addition of weight also.

I saw his TQ run but didn't see the A-main. I was in the C-main and did a whole lap and a half then connection broke to dean connector off ESC to battery.

The track was huge and ended up being brutal to the 1/10 trucks. Pot holes that swallowed up the truck .

This was my first trip, plan to go back many, many more times.

Will try to post some video.

Getting a big kick reading the Tekno guys asking just how far behind their ride was from Max's Sc10 4x4 ...O-Man !

what you mean this?

I did find this part interesting, maybe you didn't get to it:

I was able to keep the super tight lines where necessary and could of pushed my Tekno harder through the rough stuff but you always run the risks of a bad bounce or a break at that track and played it safe. Out of the 22 laps we did between the two mains I probably hit the triple 19-20 times only letting up if there was traffic.

Chris Viesins (TQ) also looked like he had trouble with the triple and double singled most of the time.

After 20 minutes of driving Max and I did 22 laps and I was 39 seconds behind.
Maybe those 16mm shocks would help in those conditions?

Ultimately though, I get a bigger kick out of this at the 0:36 mark:

I removed mine and have 0 issues. I am running on two different types of dirt specifically, a hard packed clay and a hard packed but dusty dirt... not sure what to call it lol.

Anyways, I don't run the spur protector nor do I run the clicker protector either, and I'm actually going to shave down the plastic around the belt a bit more also to clean up the look.

Again, I've had 0 issues with this and find it helps when I start to tear down to either refill a diff or need to get to my servo for whatever reason.

I like the belt cover. Gives me a good place for a sticker or two. As we all know stickers make it faster.

This is a great idea for those that don't want the front cover. I tried running with no front cover for a race or two but found that the belt started to come off at times and upon closer inspection I found that the front guide pulley flexes easily without the cover in place so I put it back on.

I think he did it to stiffen the front part of the chassis in twist. I'm just speculating, but it makes sense. Same thing for that cute carbon fiber brace.
