I'm real curious about BK's servo mounts from a few pages back. I like the idea very much, and the front end comes apart nicely without the servo on the top plate. 2wd mounts only kinda work, they need to be spaced up 4-5mm for the servo to clear the X on the chassis. I have an idea for making some mounts, we'll see what I come up with.
16mm shocks for sale, if anyone's interested. They worked well on the truck, but I just think that since I drive at an indoor track 99.9% of the time, I'm not seeing as much of a benefit from them. When my track had a whoops section, the 4x4 with the 16mm BB's killed it...but there usually isn't a whoops section.
I think they'd rock an outdoor/rough track.

heck, I have wondered if you could save a bit of weight with a lexan cover of sort.

I think they'd rock an outdoor/rough track.Feel the 13mm outperform the 16mm if you use little to no ballast however ...
If you are using the Exotech chassis the 16mm shocks will perform better dealing with its extra 6 oz addition of weight also.

The track was huge and ended up being brutal to the 1/10 trucks. Pot holes that swallowed up the truck
. This was my first trip, plan to go back many, many more times.
Will try to post some video.
I saw his TQ run but didn't see the A-main. I was in the C-main and did a whole lap and a half then connection broke to dean connector off ESC to battery.

... To answer your question. Max's SC10 navigated the turns well and he found great lines but he had to double single the triple most of the time. The few times I saw him try it he crashed or barely drove away from it.
I was able to keep the super tight lines where necessary and could of pushed my Tekno harder through the rough stuff but you always run the risks of a bad bounce or a break at that track and played it safe. Out of the 22 laps we did between the two mains I probably hit the triple 19-20 times only letting up if there was traffic.
Chris Viesins (TQ) also looked like he had trouble with the triple and double singled most of the time.
After 20 minutes of driving Max and I did 22 laps and I was 39 seconds behind.

Ultimately though, I get a bigger kick out of this at the 0:36 mark:

Anyways, I don't run the spur protector nor do I run the clicker protector either, and I'm actually going to shave down the plastic around the belt a bit more also to clean up the look.
Again, I've had 0 issues with this and find it helps when I start to tear down to either refill a diff or need to get to my servo for whatever reason.
