i think the coupled, ht pad inside, 19t front pulley will really help this truck outdoors. i tried the exotek clutch but didnt like that it was no slip, made the truck feel very inconsistent, but still loads better then stock inside pad.
If you disliked the exotech clutch, you're going to absolutely hate the coupled slipper.

it still has adjustability via inner slipper pad tho. which allows the front wheels to slip under hard acceleration, and not just balloon.

I have been playing with the overdrive the last couple weeks in practice. What I have found is that it is not very helpful on a big 8th track with a long straight. The back end of the car wants to pass the front end and it is hard to drive straight. On the in-field it seems to work ok, and on a smaller track without the long straight it worked pretty well.

Keep in mind I was using it with the exotek locker as well. Not sure what I am going to go with but am going to practice all day on monday and play with some more setup.

I am not sold on overdrive being "the" setup for the tracks I run on but did find that I was able to drive it as easily as the exotek alone, or just the VTS slipper and standard inner pad.

you put a 19t pulley in the front. would that not make the front faster than the rear? if so, the rear should not over drive the front.

yes it is required so the coupled hub "locks" into the top shaft, or if your feeling froggy with a dremel, can always go that route.

That is what I thought too, so i tried it. It jus didn' want to track very well at high speeds. Cant explain it, and maybe i had something else messed up at the same time. Its just the experience i had in practice, I havn't trashed the idea completely it just need some more work on my truck.

I had no issues with the 19th front pulley on a long straight either, works great for me on a tight track.. it allows me to pull the car out of a turn or slide with a bit of throttle.

+1 I dont always agree with WC. But some people are being a bit mean. He is trying to help people and does not really bash anyone. He is just an AE true believer. maybe even a zealot. But he does not seem like a bad guy.
