Rear toe block, 3-2 comes on it 3-3 comes with it.

Beachbuggyphil 08-01-2012 10:26 AM

The truck comes with a 3-3 & 3-2 block to hold the rear of the rear hinge pins.

lol, why would you ask WC that. He is blind to most things non AE. If they released different hubs or toe in blocks, he would try them and then form an opinion. The fact that the AE drivers sometimes use non AE parts is probably the only thing non AE he tries. In his mind, AE didnt release other hubs, because the truck does not need them. I personally dont think AE cares too much about the 4x4 sc class period. But that is another discussion.

why not? True be told, 99% of the time really only matters if the track you run at has that setting work 100% of the time. If it doesn't, 99% really doesn't help you at all.

And besides, as a race vehicle, having the ability to adjust things like that should be expected and I personally am surprised considered AE did nice inserts on the RC8 for a variety of things that they didn't do anything like that on the SC104x4.

And personally I like something alloy back there holding it all together like the front. Not saying the stock rear is not durable, etc. Just after having the *joys* of the T4 front end coming apart at the plastic hingepin brace (which ironically was metal back in the day of the T3 out of the box), its a bad taste you want to not experience again. But, so far so good, Sc104x4 has been durable.

And RC Shox stuff has been money on the track I run at.

Yea not a whole lot of shiny goodies for this truck. Been said before...

New to the sc10 4x4. Wondering on the outdrive wobble fix, the xray shims to replace the stk ones the way to go or is there a better solution. Also is this only for the rear diff or is it needed for the front also??? What other mods are necessary to make the truck better.

Wildcat1971 08-01-2012 05:59 PM

How long did it take them to wobble? Mine are tight

Fix wobble with the xray shims, the 0.3 thickness shims f&r.
AE also has updated 0.5 shims.
Prevent future wobble by limiting shock up travel with 5mm of shock clips f&r..

if you have an MRT PTX or Mylaps:

if you have the old Red AMB then the best spot is on top of the top plate above the servo, or just ontop of your RX like BK does.

Wildcat1971 08-01-2012 09:09 PM

mine is on the belt cover......

If you can get the new Ae .5 shim kit...
or

you can also use

2 x .2mm of the large shims under each sungear & remove the small outdrive 2mm shim & assemble ....( works great )

*Do both the ft & back diff's same way

*Remember to install .8mm external limiter on shock shafts to help protect outdrive cups from CVA bash....

Other mods ?

Team upgrade kit # 91174

#1 upgrade

Cain , under stand completely your view and sorry for the only use "Ae" tune .

That part is a very good part & its performance is great .

More than I say for some of the other aftermarket parts you can buy .
Even have two teammates using .....
