They are surprisingly good. Cells came balanced and easily last a 10min main.
Plenty of punch too.
Trying to hack up a chassis to run a stick pack down the middle is not worth it in my opinion. The inline saddles work very good and I have no issues traction rolling now.
The new FT edition SC10 4x4 is setup to accomodate saddles now. If AE thought it would work better with a stick down the middle they would have designed it that way. The new chassis has been modified from the current version....so a bird told me.
Or maybe they are perfectly honed straight, and your precious Factory Team did something wrong with 'numerous' shipments of Stock arms...

Cameron, Yeah. Truck has never sat on it's tires for longer than 20 minutes. I'm pretty ape shit about that.

My truck is two weeks old today.
I won it at the track in a raffle.
Everyone said sell it and get the Losi.
I was about ready to do it but after reading through this thread I thought I should give it a try before giving up on it.
Been working on my setup and testing and it feels pretty good but what do I know? This is my first experience with a 4x4.
Stephen Bess from RC Car Action Magazine races at our track and I have talked with him quite a bit about different trucks that he has tested and setup. He races a Losi SCTE in Pro4 at our track and I ran into him at the club races last night. I knew he tested the original SC10 4x4 for the magazine and asked him what he thought about it. He told me that he recently tested the new FT SC10 4x4 coming out for review in the magazine. He and I discussed a few issues he felt the truck had and why he prefers the Losi. I told him what I had done to the truck and he asked if he could drive it during the break, which of course I said yes.
Stephen went out and it took him a few laps to get used to the truck. After a few warm up laps he started to push it and lay down some good fast laps. He said he was very suprised at how good my truck felt and did not exhibit any of the issues he experienced with the other race prepped SC10 4x4 trucks he had driven including Kurt Wenger's personal truck. The main thing he pointed out was that those trucks wanted to transfer too much weight front and rear when under acceleration or braking. He said that they also wanted to step out when trying to get hard on the throttle when coming out of turns. He did not have any of these issues with my truck. He also commented on how how hard he could get on the brakes, stay straight, and not have an issue with the belt skipping. After he was done, he said that my truck was hands down the best SC10 4x4 that he has driven yet. That is pretty high praise coming from a guy that has driven the best SC10 4x4s fully race prepped by AE for him to review.
Now I just need to learn how to drive it myself.

Money no problem? Get a Tekin RX8/Pro4 4000. Sensored 4-pole 540. DREAM
Gotta save some cash? MMP with an SC4x 5.5T. My buddy's been running that for a while and it's been good. I prefer my RX8....been dreaming about getting an iX8 but I'm reading there are problems with the LVD running on just 2S (It's really geared towards 8th scale, so 3-5S....maybe the next firmware will fix it....)

So you mean the RX, is a better choice on the "bigger esc market"..i have tested the Hobbywings big sensor and it was silksmooth..but real big esc
..can i use a Pro4 4000 with the MMP esc ?
thanks for the tip Mr

I used to run the Tekin rs pro erlier in my B44, and did not liked that esc at all..

Read 'one' signature and you'd know.

yes! You can run mmp/pro4. Just be aware of it's touchy BEC, you may be getting an external BEC to run carefree. /Searchthread

I'm aggressively teasing, not telling you off. I promise.
Nice! Congrats on the hi praise! If you can please post your set up? Thanks!

I am in need of some setup help. I am suffering from major under-steer both on and off power. I attached my setup. Thanks!

what's your track layout like??
try putting thd lower front shock on position 1, most people run the yellow spring up front and blue on rear. 2.o mm sway up front and 1.5 out back.
what is your right height front to back?
** you may want to go do in diff fluid to 10 k in the front.
i would mess with shock positions, springs first since they are easy to do. do one change at a time to see if you're going in the right direction

have you tried any of the setups that pro drivers use?
since it's a tight track 30 k is way too much I'd go to 10k or lower that'll help pull you out of turns.
Can you practice today?
I hate not having my truck right now, i'm actually gonna go practice on my 2wd today.
