You have to remove the setscrew as it holds the plastic collar in place. Then you slide it off the setscrew side.

Thanks ryan, set screw is out, they are just stuck on there good. Last owner might have used some sort of adhesive, no worries.

But not everything is perfect. 7075 is not a choice material for bending or forming, as it's stiffer properties lend it to crack more than 6061. In some manufacturing process and some designs, 6061 can be a better choice.
Actually, tensile strength is almost double. It's also much harder, ie less wear. But I never claimed Losi WASN't using 7075, just not Mil spec quality. Anyways, the discussion is over, no need to rehash the past.

Yield Strength, psi 40,000
Brinell Hardness 95
Rockwell Hardness B60

Ultimate Tensile Strength, psi 83,000
Yield Strength, psi 73,000
Brinell Hardness 150

We have been running the Tenshock 4600 and 4000kv models, and they fantastic. Not quite as ballistic as a Tekin pro4 4600, but not 150$ either, lol. Both the higher KV motors are quite a bit faster than the castle 4 pole, and like mentioned before...smoother...and less off power drag.

Ridley - I have started running the SNR 3.7mm chassis w/ a Traxxas 102mm rod and it is extremely rigid. It does not have bends on each side of the chassis. The factory mud guards mount no problem and you then heat them up with a heat gun and bend them into place, took all but 10 minutes. I'm glad the chassis does not have the side bends because it has allowed me to mount the battery flat to the chassis and closer to the centerline.

The chassis is dialed and I ordered and paid for it right off the web-site, no SNR sponsorship, discounts or freebies here... Try it, you might be faster..

What is weight difference from stock chassis to SNR 3.7mm chassis?

Rusty - The truck race ready is now 5.90 lbs, and I don't want to go any lighter than this. In stock form the truck was almost 7 lbs race ready.

Are you sure that the cvd pin is not jammed into the plastic? That's what made mine hard to remove.

Just going by the one I handled. Like I said, I don't know what the thickness was, but it was a noodle. I forget what brace was on it, likely the stocker. Don't have any interest in playing with another, it's not something worthy of my truck.

Faster? lol. I already won everything here, If I get faster they'll start making me start backwards on the grid
