I'll check tonight but I am nearly certain mine did not rub on the motor plate as it free-wheeled easily with no grinding noise (motor pinion off), and I did try it with the AE V2 spring and spacer. Still did not notice any performance improvement at all, but did notice the Losi Spur was a little quieter.
I'll check just to make sure when I get home, but after trying them all out, I prefer the stock Losi Slipper.

My main reason for running it is because I could not get the stock one set where I needed it. Bench setting the slipper was impossible, I could tighten the nut all the way down and when hitting the throttle the front end would barely twitch.

I hear ya Sean, that's the problem I had with the AE slipper which is confusing.
If you or anyone is home, could someone post what the OD (outside diameter) of the V2 plate where the spring rests is? Id like to know to find some washers here at work that I can use there as spacers to increase spring tension, to try the V2 spring again with the AE plates as I bottomed it out on the shaft last time and it slipped easily.
I should have measuered this at home, but since I wasn't planning on trying it again until just now...
If you or anyone is home, could someone post what the OD (outside diameter) of the V2 plate where the spring rests is? Id like to know to find some washers here at work that I can use there as spacers to increase spring tension, to try the V2 spring again with the AE plates as I bottomed it out on the shaft last time and it slipped easily.

I got 10.3mm.
That is really strange, as I'm no where near bottoming the nut out now.
No shims or anything, just the v2 spring and plates.
I am using a Jconcepts machined gear, not sure if that would make a difference

I raced only RC10's for many many years.
10.3 mm (.405") seems big, so that is roughly the ID of the spring?

Do you guys prefer the TLR nut type hingepins or the e-clips ones? How likly are the eclips to pop off in a race?

I am not sure I have ever lost a rear outer hinge pin e-clip. They are protected pretty well inside the wheel. With that being said though I like the nut version!
