Are you running at IRH? What is your current setup? Molded foams in the rear, and what tires?

I haven't been to IRH yet, but my buggy had a TON of forward bite at LIR. Molded foams (AKA or Proline in the rear), and a nicely broken pair of BK Bars worked great with the box stock setup. I was also running a short pack, full forward with the plastic battery brace. I recently added 7oz on top of the tranny, and it made it a bit more predictable in the corners.

I'm runnin 5* hubs in the front, 25* brass kickup, stock springs and 27.5 oil all the way around.

That said, I MUCH prefer the Losi to my RB5.

if u feel more confident with the RB..get that..u driven both..choose the same set up as u drove..the reason y i went with a 22 is that i can get parts in SOCAL easy..as far as the RB i was gonna get it..but not too many shops in SOCAL stock them..RC is mostly personal preferences at times and your budget..the one thing we all can help each other on is gearing and troubleshooting stuff..

Is there any other layout I could use? If I place one pad to the rear and use the stock battery holder, it would fit perfectly in the middle holes. Looks clean but the balance may not be ideal. What set up are you using?

This is my setup. I do run the aluminum battery tray. This allows for more flexability with other mounting options.

They're both great/fast.

FWIW, everyone where I race that's chosen the 22 did so because it's more planted and forgiving than the B4 (track's former favorite) while being just as fast. If your car is loose, there must be a setup fix for it.

The K-car is nice but more delicate and some parts are prohibitively expensive (CVD's for example).

Does anyone use AE spur/slipper setup? I was thinking of using my spur gears from my b4.1, also have a few pairs of high torque slipper pads.

I don't know anyone that has used them. These things are all over eBay. That could be good or bad!

They fit just fine, just make sure to use the whole assembly, Losi plates are too large, and will run on the spur gear, and not the pads.
