TLR 22 Racing Buggy Thread
Just bought a used 22 buggy. It's setup with tyres for carpet racing( Schumacher). I'm a complete noob but so far changed the shock oil to 30wt as 2 were leaking, so I'll keep an eye on it. Other than that its stock rtr. Going to check out an indoor carpet track this week and have some fun.

Hi everyone, I apologize if this has been covered somewhere I searched and couldn't find it.
I recently picked up a Losi 22 1.0 and also bought the Losi bellcrank steering kit. The bellcrank system itself was easy to install but the instructions suck and don't say anything about the extra parts it comes with.
From what I have found I understand the new spindles it came with won't work with the 1.0 caster blocks. So are these just for the 2.0 and I'm supposed to use my original spindles, or do I need to buy the 2.0 caster blocks and use the new spindles? Do I need anything else besides the caster blocks to use the new spindles?
Am I supposed to use the two extra ballstuds it came with on the spindles?
Am I supposed to use the new turnbuckles and ballcups it came with, or are they only for the 2.0 spindles? If I am supposed to use them, does the ballcup with the weird angle go on the spindle or the bell crank?
Is the servo link it came with just for the 2.0? It's too long for my setup but my stock one works great.
Thanks.

I watched that video the other day but he's doing it on a 2.0. Losi really should have made better instructions.

Yes, sorry, you need the 2.0 parts as well which include new spindle and castor geometry.

Ok thanks I'll get those.

Three-gear Losi 22 1.0
I've searched and can't seem to find or confirm, can anyone tell me if the TLR 3-gear trans will fit the 22 1.0?

Yes it will work on the 1.0. There is a small screw to help hold the pivot block in place that you will not have on your 1.0 chassis. Obviously the body will need to be cut to accommodate the gear cover on the other side.
Edit: My comment above assumed that the 1.0 was being converted from rear-motor. If you're already set up mid-motor, E-Mann's suggestion is correct.

Thanks, yes it's already a mid, but good to know about it all. Thanks!

For those who helped, and for anyone interested, I can confirm that YES, the three-gear MM conversion WILL fit the 22 1.0... despite it not being listed as compatible, and despite getting an official 'no it won't' from the TLR email help line. The body needs some decent massaging with the scissors, and that's probably the biggest issue. Aside from that, it went straight in! Will get some pics shortly, but the gearbox has identical mounting points.
