+1

I tried the glued servo saver and it snapped on me when i got jumped over/on by an offensive SC truck during practice.

Ill deal with a slightly wandering center and have an operative servo saver, before i have to rip that apart for a repair again. Im always up on the wheel anyways... so eff it.

I went and bought two of the Avid steering racks, one for my B4.1 and one for my SC10. I put the first one in my B4.1 and within two laps the servo was junk. I took them out right away, before I even ran the one in my SC10, and tried to sell them ASAP. They're very good parts, just wish I would've had better luck with them!

I converted from the regular factory team chassis to the 8mm one, and I'm now running the Worlds Kit that comes with it, so I don't remember the exact advantages. But I do remember it was a TON better, and definitely worth doing! It's a relatively cheap way to make your car a LOT better.

i wouldnt blame avid for this event...almost all buggy drivers lock the servo saver or buy aluminum bellcranks and ive never heard of a servo going to crap...chances are your servo already had a problem or it had very little torque..sorry to hear your misfortune but i do not believe its the servo saver fault

+1, however, in defense of brent701, I know that for experienced drivers, seeing the same questions can get kind of tedious.. Personally I cringe whenever I read any post with BB in it, unless it's referring to guitar legend B.B. King. Sometimes, that can get the best of anyone. I've enjoyed several of his posts, so it's not like he's always begrudging. Who knows, maybe just having a bad day.

Bottom line is, though, silence is golden. If you see someone jump in with an already answered question that drives you nuts, just ignore it.

Now, can anyone tell me what oil to use in my servo saver? This is for a Tyco 2000sux. I run on a track with stuff on it. And if I add a shim to my BB springs, what size shim? I know it needs one. Do I go with a pink shim or yellow? I can't tell you what kind of track because I haven't assembled it yet. Thanks.

Default Savox Servo Hardware

Do any of you know what size screw is used to mount the servo horn to a Savox servo. I lost mine today and dont want to strip it out finding to correct size. I did verify that it is not the same size as a Futaba screw.

I used a drop of glue, so if im in a big crash it might break loose, when you are running no servo saver it is huge to make sure your end points are dead on correct, nothing will strip a servo faster. But on my track that is smaller, medium grip having it glued made it a hole new car, it turned much differently, way more steering.

Some of the guys here might know me from tq, where I had one of the first team c buggies in the us, when the big bores first came out they werent fastere, in fact in some cases the smaller shocks felt better, I guess the same could be said for springs, so even though you are seeing a lot of setup sheets with kyosho this amd losi that, chances are they are just testing and would most likely turn the same laptimes with ae springs.

I think many are looking for a comparison on the b4, b4.1 long chassis and the 22......I had a 22, and probably didnt give it its fair shake, but I felt the team setups where not there, none really worked well at my track, and being a privateer in 2wd acter years of not being, it was easier to switch, the 22 has a lot of potiential, but isnt quite suited to every track amd every driver, I would look for it to be there in some time down the road. My son has a ft b4, I put the long chassis on it to match the new setup and ot feels very good, very very close to the worlds car, the b4.1 you can buy now is as perfected as you can get, the setup out of the box is good for most drivers and tracks.
