You need to make it down here to the south sometime.

I'm gonna try out the red/white Losi combo on my buggy this weekend. I'll let you know what I think about it. Are you running the same oil and pistons? Just changing the spring?
i just recently did the BB conversion, I've tried red and oranges up front, with whites in the rear. I like the reds alot, I was originally using ae browns up front greens in the rear, started with the losi orange, a little too stiff personally. I tried reds because I figured, even though their spring rate is technically a bit softer than the oranges in comparison to ae browns, the front BB springs are taller, so i saw it as a trade off by using the reds. They work really well on my setup, I've also tried kyosho yellows(non big bore) with losi whites in the rear, that combo was just as good too. Im running 27.5 up front and 25 rear, with rpm 2 stage pistons.

That's Funny...
Isn't it.
I guess next time I won't even hint another way to do the swap.

It may even be posted in here. I am just to lazy to do the research for someone else I guess.

All ya gotta do is get the traxxas stuff and drill out their bottom cup a little. I have seen it done a lot at my local track.

It's seeing guys like him now that make me feel old.

I thought about doing that when the losi parts were on back order.
How is the fitment? tighter than the Losi ones?

The other way is getting XXXT lower cups cutting the lip off and gluing the traxxas upper collars to it. Works well.

I personally have not done it. I had a 22 with plenty of extra parts that I used. Others have done it at my track and have not had issues as far as I know. Sorry I don't have more details about it.

So apparently I'm a little behind the 8ball and I cannot find Losi spring cups anywhere. All on back order. Oh well, maybe in a week or two.

At least I know my AE springs work, rubbing and all.

Trevor,

Check with Lee at LCJ he may have a few sets in and I am sure he would be happy to send you a set if needed.

Built my first B4, been a Losi guy for so long then TQ. Decided to try this, the other thing (and this is nit-picking), found out the hard way that you have to glue the servo saver, other than that the car was great with the setup it came with.

I tried Losi BB spring since they were avaliable, very tough for me to tell the difference, maybe the car was a little more consistant. I used Losi orange springs in the front and pinks in the rear. I used Traxxas collars over the AE ones and Traxxas spring cups, seemed to fit perfect, spend about $15 on springs and hardware, beat the kyosho Price.

I've looked at a few setup sheets from the ready race, I've seen some speculation but would be cool to see Brent or someone come on here and say, we shaved the rear u-brace for this reason and using this part for that reason.

I have always wondered why the big boys of the RC world do not come on here and post stuff. I figure it will flood with questions but still.

Yeah that's probably why. I think these guys probably have enough on their plate without discussing *gulp* Losi BB springs.

OTOH, many of the folks on here are certainly big boys in their own right, in that a lot of the folks that post here every other day would smoke a noob like me without much trouble. If you can make it around a track 20 times without crashing, and some guy still laps you once or twice.. yeah, he's a big enough boy to earn my respect. Heck, he might even be a fully-growed-up man. (Damn you, Stuart Scott)

Besides, everybody knows those FT drivers don't build their own cars anyway. They're all like Tom Cruise at the beginning of Days of Thunder. I bet most of 'em think a slipper goes on a girl's foot.

Just flame-bait there!! Please direct all angry replies to Bob Vandelay, Vandelay Industries, Head Latex Salesman.

This is my next item I will be testing. I have a glued servo saver made up and I will be putting it on the car this week and then ordering the Avid piece later. I should have done this along time ago and was worried I would break my servo....
