the RS steering blocks use #4449 locking nut to hold the ball stud to it. the SC10's without hex do not. The ball stud screws to the block itself
SO to hold the Ball studs to the steering blocks #9880 you need the locking nuts #4449
See the nut looking hole in the block?

I personally prefer a 9.5 mod wound motor. It's plenty on top for me and I feel it's easier to drive off the bottom than a 10.5 stock wound motor. I would highly suggest looking at it if you are wanting something easy to drive.

YESSIR! blue barcodes in the front, green in the rear
It was one of those "i bet you won't do it" deals.... so of course I had to
On another note, I ran the BB springs again this weekend. Hot lap increased by half a second, ran 1 lap faster than I had previously.
Are they better?
No. They are different. If I was to compare, I would say the AE std springs are more precise and will make your car feel more darty, while the BB springs are a bit more forgiving and make the ride a little smoother. So my final opinion is........
they look cool. So I'll keep em on

Plus one. I tried the 8.5,10.5 and wound up with the 9.5. I just like the way it feels over the others. Plenty of pull off the bottum and enough top end to get it done.

Need some help here real quick.
I'm going to run 17.5 class at Motorama just as a second class but I have never run a 17.5 and have no clue what to gear them at. If possible, I wanna keep a 81 spur on but I don't know if you can hit the right ratio.
Can any of you guys who run 17.5 (or have run it) help me out here because I need to buy a couple pinions. I will be using a LRP SXX v2 and probably a loaner Tekin motor.
Thanks!

Take pinions 28-32 to get good final drive ratio choices. I think 31 would be the go for FDR.
Feel 7 / Boost 7 if you want the edge.
Ratio = (Spur / Pinion) * 2.6(Factory FDR)
Cheers

I tried the simple green turnbuckle thing and it did not work, I even added an 8th battery I tried my worn down silver a.e turnbuckles on my b4.1 and my shiny brand new blue ones off my 4wd. I use speaker wire which i guess may be the problem. It got like blue green and corroded after 2 tries. PLease help i just spent 20 bux in batteries and undid my turnbuckle ends
