Cool thanks Matt.... I'm sure I can get a gear setup with 78 spur for my mod motor too. That will be one less thing to worry about when switching back and forth.

...exactly! You have to let the turnbuckle be the conductor in the simple green. Dont let the wire on your t/b in the fluid. Wrap the threads, dunk the majority of the rod and wait until you get the desired color. Take it out, flip the wire to the other end and dunk the remaining untreated part of your t/b.
The shade of color will vary by the length of time you soak it.

ps- I used alligator clips. Makes the job even more simple!

the current will go the shortest route to the other wire...so if you let the wire touch the simple green..the current will go right to the wire instead of conducting through the turnbuckle...

note:
If transmission case is well used & screw's were way tight , it is now mostly warped & needs replacement .
Thanks everyone for your advice on the "tight" gearbox a couple days ago. Lots of good ideas. Even though the transmission case looked just fine, it must have been warped or something because I replaced it and now my transmission rolls freely even with the screws tightened fairly snug.

I'm just curious where I could find some serrated wheel nuts. I was thinking about taking a dremel to mine, but buying some would be much simpler.

Hi there has anyone else tried these out since this post? Did you consider tapered? What would make a B4/B4.1 owner choose tapered or flat? Tapered for rougher tracks/smooth for flater tracks?

Someone even suggested that taper could point down giving quicker rebound allowing a lower spring rate. Benefits??

Has anyone found that there lap times inproved as they went from a B4 to B4.1 either converted or just a new kit. Is the B4.1 faster all personal set ups considered. I do understand that the +8 chassis can help with this.

Please excuse the learner Q's. Thanks for any thoughts.

Picked up third in the a with my 13.5 buggy today at the tracks trophy race, down to the f mains! man was that a fun wait!

i got a slick track setup that i can give out to anybody who wants, for indoor clay, very wet, slippery but the traction is pretty good, dirt still has to settle due to a fresh layout
Grats on the trophy Guy, it was a fun race. At least the last few laps was clean, LOL! I still feel horrible about what happened 13 seconds into this vid.
