I have v1 shocks. Will the Kyosho x rings stop them from leaking? Are the white spacers in the 6440 rebuild kit for v1 shocks? What part number for the x rings that fit v1 shocks. Thanks

Has anyone tried the Kyosho Big Bore Velvet Shocks on a SC10?

I use the FT shocks from the SC10 4x4 on my 2wd. got my truck dialed. I had to move the rear shocks to the front of the rear tower to clear the camber links. The truck works well on the outdoor tracks I race on.

The white spacers are from the V1 rebuild kit. I have not used the V1 shocks so not sure if they will work.

I am waiting for the new AE shocks to come out. I hope they are as good as the Kyosho. Hands down the best shock right now, but you pay for them. I have been real happy now though with my V2's. Got some Avid springs on the way to try out. Never felt good or could turn the laptimes with the Losi BB springs.

I run the PL powerstrokes. I didnt think at first they would work very well, but I like them a lot better than the FT V2's.

Are the FT shocks in the FT SC10 kit a direct replacement for the stock shocks in the RTR SC10RS? The FT shocks have red front and olive green (?) rear springs. I happen to have a set though so if they are a drop-in fit that would be cool.

I am relatively new to SC racing and I have been trying to dial in my tire selection. This link has a pile of pictures from our track. Perhaps you all can make some recommendations from viewing them? I am currently running the stock rock-hard fronts and the Subcultures on the rear. Right now traction is a serious problem!

Thanks!

Which wheels are a good fit on the rear of a Factory Team SC10? Zero offset with the 12mm hex?

Try the new wheels from Avid. They are awesome. I'm going to start using only those wheels for as long as I can now.

Yes the shocks are a direct replacement for the rs shocks.

As far as the tires the best advice I can give is to walk around and check out the fast guys trucks. That will tell you what tires work best there and 99% of the time you can just ask them and they will help you out by telling you what tire and compound they are running.

Chassis

Lets say that you have a extra chassis that you want to modified or cut to make it flex a little more for better grip on a loose track... Where would you start or what would you do?

I'd try boiling it first.

I see where someone says the new avid white/white is a great combo. anyone else played around with them yet? I am still running normal ae springs (never converted to losi or kyosho bb) but want to try them out. if you have the converision for the losi springs (i have extras laying around from my buggy conversion) will they work on that? or is everyone just waiting for ae bb?
