For the money, these hex drivers are hard to beat. http://www.glitchrc.com/proddetail.php?prod=LBR2000

I got that set and had to replace every bit in the first three months I owned them. Not recommended! Though the handles are nice!

Try the dynamite tool sets. Cheap and effective.

Cain 04-27-2012 09:52 AM

avoid the dynamite tool sets that are the really cheap ones.

the alloy handle ones though are pretty decent.

What would you recommend?

I have the red handle ones, and they have lasted 3 years. But they only have 3 of the 4 sizes you need.

I just went to the local sears hardware. Craftsman warranty. Walk in with worn out hexes walk out with new(long as they have them in stock).

The best hexes are MIP. They have the best handles, they have the best tips.

Cain 04-27-2012 11:24 AM

I have one of the MIP drivers, they are awesome thats for sure.

But there was one brand I saw that the handle had a pass thru so you could put I am assuming a rod to really get ahold of the wrench. Can't remember who had it, but it was a great idea.

Right now for me, the old school set I am using still works great other than the handles could be more gripping like the dynamite ones.

That's Associated stuff. Only really useful feature on the hex driver to remove serrated axle nuts.

I have one MIP wrench (because I lost one), the rest of them are Thorp. I have had them since like 1990!

LOL.

I'd say the brand I use but I can already see the pitch forks lining up.

Were you going to say Losi? I sold my Losi's to buy the complete A/E set, man I miss them. :(

nope. Put it this way, OTHER than these wrenches and maybe a setup tool or two, I wouldn't use anything else from them.

put the Ghea collars on. silver rear springs for front and the traxxas #3768 doesn't fit over shock end. losi cups fit but ride height is 34mm. has anyone just cut a coil off of the spring?

Is that with the body on or off?
