I had all sorts of problems with gear diffs, and so did everyone else that races with me. Off the top of my head I can think of atleast 6 trucks that tore the gear diff out of them last year. Of those six 4 or 5 put in ball diffs and haven't had any problems since. The other one or two epoxied their diffs. We did have a problem with outdrive bearings though, some of us were going through 2 sets in one day. I think we ran into a bad set of bearings.

Yea mine leaked like crazy after the first build. Then rebuilt and it started leaking again. I thought they were grinding which is what pushed me to go ball diff, but then later realized it was an issue with the old dog bones.

If the diff held up well I would probably go gear diff just for simplicity, but that has not been the case.

Ball diff's aren't bad to deal with once you get the hang of them and learn to do all your work on the diff while it's inside a container so your balls don't get lost.

Haha don't ya love it when you take it apart, then you're putting it back together and you are one ball short. My instant thought is uhh ohh. :eek:

Some of you may have noticed the announcement of the new SC10GT, and I just wanted to quickly let you guys know that the new rear bumper on the SC10GT is interchangeable with the SC10.

It is perhaps a little more stylish, and I know it is just a bumper but figured I would share that bit of info with you guys.

For those of us that are lazy do you have the part number for that bumper?

Yes the oring is down the thread shaft per the instructions. I will look into the kyosho seals grr

I've never seen those. Every v2 I've seen is plastic caps.

I've never had a leak in the caps. I've had AE shocks for years and the only leaks I get are between the shaft and o-rings.

Looks like there is a SC10GT2 thread in the Nitro forum, 4 pages! And alot of jealous Losi guys!! LOL . Any interest in Quick change SC wheels?

I've looked and can only find remarks on one or the other, but has anyone tried both the TBR and the RPM front brace/bumper? Which works better for preventing the chassis from snapping, and which upsets the handling of the truck the least?

Also, in checking out the new SC10GT, it looks like the front kickup is much beefier than the regular SC10 chassis...do you think they'll incorporate that into a mold for a new electric chassis?

I was considering trying the stock bumper. I feel like my rpm sticks out to much and I don't like the bulk hanging off the bottom of the chassis. I feel like when I set up my truck it's actually like 1/4" lower in the front compared to a setup that's not using the rpm bumper.

Are these companies just trying to stroke us?

I'm 99% sure in the pics he had gold and silver springs .. setup shows he was running his normal springs.. and rouna was saying online and videos he was using pressure points .. and his new setup shows his normal barcode/double Dee setup lol

They ran different tires every round depending on how the grip was and what the temperature was. I remember hearing Rouna saying that in one of the videos. Hey, I remembered right!

I think they were making changes to help the quad in the front straight that was hurting them every where else.
