I feel exactly the same, haha  And, I agree Airtronics is the bomb-diggity, it's what I use as well. Are you considering the MT4 because of it is telemetry ability?
Been using Airtronics since 83'... Airtronics XL 2P!!!! I've had the MX3, M8 and M11. I've tried others here and there, but I always came back. |

I'd like a little more sturdy build to my dx only in how it goes together, but otherwise, I love the operating system in it, So simple, 10 second major adjustments, and the ergonomics are superior (in only my opinion) and... I like the price difference! receiver city for the price of that m11 compared to my dx! |

Brushless420,
Coming to FL indoor FRIDAY??? My 4x4 is down right now, but buggy and sc10 are running fine. Schumacher mini pins are the tire of choice fr & rear for SC10, rear buggy. SC10setup red front springs , green or gray rear, some are running as much as 60 fr & 50 rear, try 45 & 40, 1-2deg neg camber. DON'T BE SCARED |
any body had much to do with the gear diff ?
got a 2nd hand sc10,great truck but i cant work out a loud diff clicking noise. thought it was blown gears but stripped it down and all gears look good. there is no play in the diff except were the outdrive cup pins go into the sun gears has a little bit. makes the noise mainly when turning right and some times under hard acceleration. if i hold the left wheel and apply decent throttle it makes the noise but if i hold the right wheel it makes no noise. maybe the gears are worn and skip but can not see any damage to suggest that, also if i psychically hold the wheels and turn the spur i cant get it to skip on the gears. any thoughts ??? |

They would only be shiny from the wear required. Shiny and glazed a bit. They honestly don't 'look' worn but they sure as hell can be. That would be my go-to thing first, man. (FYI, Diffs are backordered in most places)
see Amain has both rebuild and full diff kits in stock |
Oz,
Some of the RS and Sc10's had a smimming issue that caused the diff to click at speed. I called AE and they sent me a rebuild kit free. I only installed two washers (shims) and the clicking went away. Just a thought.... A.T. |

A buddy let me drive his truck to compare (both sc10 4x4s) and he had a m11. The thing felt like fkn handgun with it's weight. I actually prefered the "beefy but light" feeling of the DX3rpro over it. I feel like my hand is seated in the DX more than the m11, which feels like a twig. Weight-quality aside. (seems to be a common deal with customers that if it doesn't weigh alot, it's not worth the price tag) :flaming:

I like the price difference! receiver city for the price of that m11 compared to my dx! I never mentioned weight as a factor for my decision. It's based on my ergonomic preference and the components used in manufacturing. Having worked in the semiconductor industry, I have a understanding of the specs and tolerances that companies except. I was the tester for components and separate them to ship to certain manufactures based on what each one would allow. This is why you will see more issues with certain manufacturers and not as many with others. As I have seen, your more than likely to have have an issue with Spektrum than a Airtronics or Futaba. Not saying your stuff is junk or it's going to be a problem but the likelihood is greater. That too is why you can buy a city of them compared to others. |

My mx 11 never felt like a handgun. The handle is narrow but that's why I have wrapped it with a tennis racket handle wrap. It also helps with perspiration in the hot summers.

I've noticed alot of you all are trying the Losi BB springs on your stock shocks. Well I race on mostly outdoor tracks and usually riddled with 1/8 buggys that tear the track up and make it harder for the 1/10 electric sc trucks to race. I discovered the factory shock work well till they get hot and the fluid fades badly. So I played around with a set of FT AE 13mm shocks from my 4wd sc10. much better truck and way more forgiving. i'll get you all some pics here. I have more pics on my phone, if you want to see then text me and ill hook you up and ill explain anything. 928-279-4293

I brought a mx11 about 15 months ago, nice radio,good features
but sold it and went back to the dx3s, just dont like the feel of the mx11 mite be ok if you have small hands ? but having big hands a lot of radios just feel wrong. no matter how good the radio is,if it does not feel comfortable it will affect your driving. |
I never liked how the m8 and m11 cover over your left hand and not a fan of the drop sown wheel. So I have the mx3x and its never missed a beat and im really happy with it.
