Does the Tekin RS require a laptop for programming? What about the Duratrax DE10 with hand held programmer? Anyone use the DE10?

There are minor updates that can be done without a computer however the tuneability with the HotWire hooked up to a computer is excellent. Tekin is working on an App for the iPhone and Andriod that will allow you to change your programming with the phone but there is no release date yet.

I don't have any experience with the DE10

Yup, Tekin has said this so many times, they've stopped trying to convince people that they've said it. WAY too many technical and licensing issues.

Best bet is to wait until Windows 8 hits, which is supposed to provide cross compatibility between phones, tablets, and laptops/desktops. Then....maybe.

Yeah, a BlueTooth app between phone and speedo would be way cool, too....but imagine the problems in policing THAT!!!! That particular technology has already been demonstrated at some of the most recent industry shows. Now with ROAR wanting to get rid of not only boost/turbo/software dynamic timing but ANY ESCs that can be remotely updated/manipulated in any manner for any parameter for any reason, that dream may likely die on the vine.

In any case, Tekin provides free software updates, and I've never been to a track where at least someone didn't bring a laptop and was willing to share. Really, with laptops as common as fallen leaves in a forest....it's a non-issue.

Has anyone come up with any ways to help cool the motor by getting a heat sink or more air near the motor? I know the gearing is main concern for heat. I have it geared so temps are 135*F after the race is over. And no I'm not looking for more speed, can't handle what I have now.:o I just want to get more air or do someting as "insurance" in case I miss something.
Thanks
Mark

When using the Jconcepts 12mm hex's it says to take off the blue spacer but do you leave on the 2 thin metal shims?

Is there any reason to not use the T4-B4 Aluminum Hubs on the SC10?

Seems like it would help with rear traction

What toe blocks are you using for med to high bite wett

They perform the same as the plastic hubs, cept you can also use the new C-brace with the metal ....

MX , most use 2 degree anti & 3.0 toe block

Some are using 2.5 toe block & .5 rear hubs with 2 degree squat
