I have run from the 2.0 to the 5.0 and have always run the molded servo arm. Always said I would buy a aluminum one when I broke the plastic one but I have yet to break one. Aluminum servo arms are harder on your servo anyways

There is so little pressure on 2 wd buggy servos, that is why you can use molded arms. Move it back and forth, nothing there. Maybe carpet would need them, doubt it. Plus look at the tire contact patch, very slim.

Prior to the 1st gen 22, 2wd buggies had built-in servo savers (kinda wish they still did) and when I got a 22, the molded arm looked to be of good quality. It never gave me any trouble so I’ve just continued to trust that they’re strong enough. So far, so good.

this makes total sense. I never thought of it that way. I'm going to use the molded Servo horn that comes with the kit. I'm guessing that you don't need a Servo with tons of torque, just speed? How many ounces of torque is good for a 2wd buggy?

I think 10kg/cm (138 oz/in) or more is good. I know people that run 100 oz/in, but that seemed a little on the low side to me. Savox 1257tg/1258tg are pretty popular and work well for a reasonable price.

IMHO, the issue isn't the pressure under normal circumstances, it is whet happens when you crash or get put into a pipe. Unless you are an expert pro drivers (and I'm not) that can happen.

Just got my 5.0 all finished up! This thing feels LIGHT, but I guess Razor RC already confirmed this. I installed the titanium screws and hinge pins from my 4.0 as well, and I'll likely throw in my MIP pucks and test to see how it handles with them.

Does anybody know some black wheels that match the offset of the 4.0/5.0?

Molded servo horn has held up to 8 packs of running today, lawn darted 4-5 times on jumps that would have broken the old one, so seems pretty durable so far for a composite horn.

Just dye them, I have been told that the yellow take the colour better than the white.

What tires will fit those wheels they have in the kit, are they standard size?
