Today was my first day at practice with my 5.0 SR. Condition were ideal for traction (wet clay and slicks, LOTS of grip) so I'll hold out full opinion until the clay dries out.... But all I can say is: predictable. The chassis seems very stable, namely with momentum change that would've upset my 4.0 beyond belief. There is definitely a lot of traction gained over the same setup on a 4.0 thanks to the increased flex. It also handles like a racecar with noticeable downforce at speed: more entry speed = more grip.
Also to be noted: with an LCG pack the SR is well under weight. I built mine up with Avid ceramic bearings, whatever Ti hardware carried over from my 4.0, carbon battery brace, carbon front tower, and alloy servo mount. With a Tekin RS spec, 17.5 Monster max, R204SB-E, and Reedy Zappers 3600 LCG it weighed in at 1443g ready to go. I added ~60g under the battery.
The battery mounting is also the best thing since sliced bread.

EDIT: those specialized pliers look great. Will definitely look into that next time I need to do this.

I would say it's about the same. Mine sounds a bit quieter but I'm sure that's due to being brand new. Setting as it's the same transmission and overall driveling I wouldn't expect much change.
